Bought this for my wife, who has some MS related mobility issues. It worked out wonderfully. Easy no-tools assembly and installation. Very sturdy and now gives her a nice grab bar to help in and out of bed. Includes a handy utility pouch (for book, iPad, etc). It helps prevent accidental falls from bed, and is also a handy place to lean her cane when she gets in bed. Great choice!

When I ordered this product I hope that it would be sturdy because I’m a fairly big man and that’s what I liked about this item was it said it was capable of supporting I think it was 300 pounds so that was right on the money for me. Also it is shocking how easy this thing is to put together no nuts bolts screws or any other kind of fastener, it has those buttons that you press down when you slide one tube into another and then there are several adjustment holes where you can let it pop out And you’re done the whole thing slides together I really like it the finishes really good nice dark black and it is very strong

My husband put it together and had no issues in assembling the parts. We bought this for his mom who fell and has mobility issues. The only difficult part is getting it into position. You’ll need a strong person or two people to place it. My in-laws have a tall wood king bed and the shelf part is placed between the box springs and mattress. It’s imperative the mattress is moved or lifted up, while a second person if lifted up, anchors the the shelf with the straps enclosed. The strap is necessary to put tension on the unit by anchoring it around the frame. Our in home Physical Therapist said many people disregard the strap anchor and only slide the unit it but without that tension, the unit will slide out and the user can be seriously hurt by falling out of bed. Once it’s secured by the strap, it’s snug and really unobtrusive. My in-laws have fairly large furniture and it’s sits below the nightstand. My mother in law is happy with this assistance.

This rail worked out well for us. We have a family member who had surgery and found it difficult getting out of bed. I looked at many rails that bragged that their heigh was adjustable from 17-22 inches, but this bed frame was 10.75" from the ground. This rail fit well and helped very much. The bars that slide under the mattress/box spring are "flat" and there is a further strap that can connect that loop to the far side of the bed. If I had to ding it at all, it's the instructions only because it just says "put the fabric pocket on" without explaining how the little clips on the rail need to be oriented. Just be aware of that as you are assembling. It's easy enough to undo if you don't get it right the first time.

I weigh 210 lbs. I awakened between the product and my mattress. One leg had already bent and the other one had cut through the rubber end (with a metal washer inside), pushed the washer aside and was working its way through the carpet. The "accessory" bag was difficult to apply and ripped the first night when I put the TV remote inside it. I had a similar experience with the first "side rail" that I purchased. This one was supposed to support 300 lbs. Oh well......
