I really like the Vaude Women's Escape Light Jacket. I wore it hiking the Appalachian Trail. As we were about to summit Possum's Rest Overlook, the wind began to pick up and the temperature was a little chilly to me. I put on this jacket, and continued. I continued to wear it until we finished the hike. I was pleasingly surprised that even though I kept the jacket on while hiking, I did not feel overheated or clammy. I did unzip it to allow more air flow as we hiked back down into lower elevations and warmer temps. I got size 40 and it fit perfect. I am 5'5; 128 pounds. I wore a long sleeve poly/quarter zip shirt comfortably underneath. I would only go larger if I was to heavier layer, which I do not believe I would do. I got the teal blue jacket. The color is rich, without overdoing it. The jacket feels very nice; quality. I liked the jacket so much I ordered the gray one when I saw it at a good price. I bought my son the men's version and he equally likes his jacket. I am very happy with my purchase of these jackets.

This is a very well made jacket with a Velcro flap over the zippered front to keep out the rain. The pull cord for the bottom and hood, also to keep rain out, have these stopper things so you don't need to tie the cords to get them to stay put. I read a lot of reviews about other rain jackets where the wearer got wet or the jacket was not breathable. I was also looking for a jacket that had a hood, all one piece to keep the rain out. So this jacket fit all of the criteria and we will be putting it into use this winter with a college student who will be biking to class during El Nino! We just got the jacket so can't tell you how it performs yet.

I usually wear a medium in tops and jackets so I ordered a size 42 according to their foreign sizing chart. It fits good but I do have plenty room to wear layers underneath. If I wanted it to be more "form-fitting" to my body I could've bought one size smaller. Stylish, soft feel exterior. Sleeves are a little longer, just covers half my hand but I won't get wet. I'm 5'4" at 143 lbs. I will update when I wear it in heavy rain. I love the red!

Color is vivid but attractive. Fabric is a nice mid weight and very moisture and wind resistant. Fit is true to chart - I wear a 38 in most Vaude clothing so ordered a 40 in this jacket to allow for layering. Hood is capacious and will keep you warm and dry. Great value for the price paid.

Well constructed jacket but I cant imagine the fabric would be as waterproof and windproof as described. It seemed too soft so I returned. Detailing and color were fine but I needed a serious jacket for my winter cycling.

Love this jacket. The rain runs right off,but it's light enough to bike in. The first one I got was a 44 and very snug, so I returned it for a 46. I can wear a sweater under this one. I normally wear a women's Large.
