So I was looking on Amazon for the least expensive barstools I could find. I needed them very tall for my countertops. At first I was concerned because a few people said they were hard to put together, uncomfortable, and the back bends easily. So I opened them. Building was easy. Barely took me like 30 min. They are not crazy comfortable but I can sit on them a while and doesn't bother me the slightest. The back does not bend easy. Haha it is a very heavy metal. I still wouldn't have someone heavy sit and lean back on it. But its very sturdy. For the price. Height. And look. These were exactly what I was looking for. Don’t be fooled at how nice these look, they’re not worth the money! My husband tried to tighten the screws several times and after 30 seconds of sitting on the stool, the screws became loose. The back rest is even worse! There is no support whatsoever because the screws do not hold and the backrest loosens up, not to mention the metal bar holding the backrest in place is VERY flimsy! I’m really bummed because I loved the look of these stools but they are SO dangerous, I don’t want anyone falling off! They are going right back! ... show more

I love the look and for the price, you can’t beat it. That being said, both backs have had to be tightened multiple times. I have an island that I cook at. After being on my feet all day teaching, I wanted a tall chair to sit down on while cooking or being in the kitchen for prolonged periods. These have worked lovely with the exception on the backs always coming loose. I have considered getting some lock tight and I am hoping that will solve the issue. They are wood and not made for comfort but they do well for bar stools or, as I use them, to sit around the island while I cook. ... show more
