This unit is well built and assembly was easy. The parts for the unit comes in three boxes and two are the wooden cabinet parts and the third id the fireplace. All parts were very well packaged! They used heavy duty boxes and added a lot of styrofoam pieces & bubbl warp to protect the pieces. We had ZERO damaged or missing parts. The wood is manufactured but “solid” and the finish looked great. Assembly was simple and as the photos show each part is clearly numbered and referenced in the instructions. Just about every major component is attached using a bolt & washer into a pre-drilled hole the the other part with the nut already in place. All parts aligned as designed and everything went together easily. The final installation is the fireplace which also fit right in place and required only 4 screws. These screws turned out to be my “biggest” problem. The screws are small and the space is tight and there were no predrilled holes. I had a heck of a time trying to hold the screw and get it started. Kept dropping them. Ended up predrillng my own starting holes. I probably should have asked my wife for help - smaller and more nimble hands. I have already recommended this to friends. ... show more

First, It comes in three boxes. We had some damage on two of the three boxes with 6" holes in the cardboard. The UPS guy said that some packages fell on the boxes. NO damage to the unit itself. Not a scratch. It is packaged very well. Lots of Styrofoam. Assembly looks like a major job upon opening all three boxes. BUT it went together very well. A few places in the instructions confused me but that is probably just me. We easily got together. We had to do minor adjustment on the Firebox with the brackets on the side of it. But that is normal and quick. All parts fit together well and when all done it is heavy and solid. And looks great ! Looks and feels like a quality made unit. Hope the firebox lasts a long time. Time will tell. We are very happy with it and recommend it. ... show more

    • Piece of Cake to put together all I had to do was watch my husband.
This was so simple to put together, all I had to do was watch my husband and he did not say any bad words, finished in a few hrs. This came in three boxes and of course the instructions were in the third one I opened. Instructions were as easy as Lego instructions to follow. My 8 year old grandson could have put it together. All hardware in one packaged very simple to identify the individual pieces. Really classy look !!! . ... show more

Like it. Found only one little nick on the far left front of the side edge. Husband said we could always just go get some stain and cover it up. That would fill the chipped out piece but it would work. The way we have it in our family room no one would notice it unless they got real close and was looking for it. Great product , wood is real quality .. not pressed board . fireplace is also quality,,, the assorted flame combinations are very realistic,, the natural Flame is my favorite, The option to enhance each flame up or down for looks and brightness is a bonus too!! And not to leave out the Heater ,, it seems to be efficient and it you turn it up it will blow you out of the room ,, my way of saying it works Great !! A GREAT BUY!!! ... show more
