I've used it for chili and it just sucked out a couple drops, no biggie. I haven't used the jar hose but everything else is great! I like that this vacuum dealer has everything you need to seal your food. I use it for sous vide and haven't had any leakage. It comes with a set of bags and a way to cut it to the correct length so that you don't waste material. Great for any cook.

Works well and includes instruction you can understand. I like that it includes some bags to start you off and has option to vacuum seal jars as well. And it includes the option to cut the bags which is very useful!

I bought this back in February, to late to return it. If I could give 0 stars I would! The slide cutter does not work, terrible at vacuuming the air out. It takes way longer to vacuum and seal than what they say. I do NOT recommend this seal a meal! I should have waited to buy a better one!!
