Disclaimer: I have not done any canning of any sort. My typical mode of operation is to put whatever food I want (such as pickled radish) in a jar and put a lid on top. The kit comes with the usb cable for charging the unit, a few standard and wide-mouth lids, a bottle opener, instruction manual, and the unit itself. The sealer is easy to put on and take off the jar. The sealer has flexible rubber gaskets that allow for it to easily slide over the glass jar. The rubber gasket also keeps the jar centered during the sealing process. The unit is easy to run, once you figure it out. I had a problem trying to get the unit to start. It turns out, I was pushing the button too hard and too long. It just needs a simple and quick push to start/stop. I waited about 40-45 seconds (as displayed at the top of the sealer) before I stopped the sealer. This sealer appears to do the job ok. I tried it on a standard regular and a standard wide-mouth jar and it sealed both just fine. After I sealed the jar, I tried to push the button on the lid and it didn't pop back up, so I am assuming it was reasonably sealed. I can see myself using the sealer to keep things like my pickled radish fresher for longer periods of time. I love the fact that it is portable, easy to use, and doesn't take much room to store.
