So i have used this quite a bit now. It works great on flat surfaces like wood shelves or drawers. But it does not pick up very good out of carpet not even really flat carpet like your car. I like the fact that it gave you two filters. That comes in handy and I do use mine every day to clean up my chinchilla cage and around it. But let’s say I spilled sugar in my car, it will get anything on top, but once you get to the carpet, it’s just a thin layer of sugar. So it does the job that I purchased it for but thats about it. Ok, look, I'm in the carpet and upholstery cleaning business, and I'm somewhat of a connoisseur of hand and stick vacs. This VacLife hand vac is totally sic! It's a nice lightweight smaller size than most but it's extremely powerful suction matches and even outperforms some of the bigger units I have and have had. And most importantly, it has a terrific filtration system. A pleated Hepa type filter surrounded by a screen. Very similar to my more expensive Bissel hand vacs. This protects the motor from dirt and prevents the vac from spewing out dirt from the exhaust. This is a very good quality and powerful hand vac that is worth every penny! I am totally blown away by the performance and ease of handling of this light-weight smaller unit. And the LED light illuminating in front of it is a huge bonus! And it makes for a terrific BUG vac! I ordered another one just for that purpose, a nice BUG vac. Another cool feature is that the front nose piece of the unit pops off so you can empty the dirt (or spider bug) without having to take the whole dirt-cup part off and take the filter out. Way cool! Check my 10 pics. What also surprised me is the relatively low noise level. It's not nearly as loud as I expected it to be. In other words, not annoyingly loud. This unit comes with an extra filter, a crevice nozzle and brush attachment as well as the wall charger for it. This hand vac is so good I also just ordered their version of this unit that comes with a roller brush attachment head for vac'ing upholstery. I've been using my Bissel unit for that purpose but it's bigger and much heavier to handle and with arthritis in my hands and wrists it's becoming difficult to use. This handheld vacuum has been a lifesaver for my sister who has arthritis and dementia. It allows her freedom to keep her spaces clean anytime she wants and the movements are easy on her wrists and arms. We recently had an issue where the small cleaning brush disappeared. We contacted VacLife hoping to purchase a replacement brush. After hearing it was a single brush that my sister uses to clean her model train area, the VacLife company sent my sister an entire replacement set directly to her apartment door for free!! What an amazing thing to happen from across the world. Thank you for allowing my sisters enjoyment and cleaning freedom to continue. I bought this for quick clean ups and to clean my car. Suction is good but not as good as a heavy duty vacuum. Overall though it does the trick for what I bought it for. But something went wrong with it and customer service unhesitantly provided me with a new vacuum at no cost. I was very impressed with that level of service. ... show more

Bought to pick up cat food, cats eat like slobs. Works really well but I have noticed you have to put it right on top of whatever your trying to vaccum cause it sometimes won't immediately pick up. Suction isn't super strong, but works for small messes.
