I bought this V12 engine model kit for my son because he’s really into cars, but I probably had just as much fun building it as he did. There are a lot of small parts, so it took us a couple evenings to finish which made it feel more rewarding once everything finally came together. The best part was turning it on for the first time and watching all the pistons move. It actually looks like a tiny real engine running, which surprised both of us. My son immediately started calling everyone over to watch it working. The etails are well done. The piston simulation and the engine block design are quite realistic. Once finished, it looks really cool sitting on a shelf or desk.

The instructions could be better, its very flimsy, one wrong move and the whole thing will come apart. Its all plastic, my box said a V6 engine, when I start assembling it, realized its a V8.

It says v8 engine kit. but it has 12 cylinders. Two separate crankshafts too. But thats not what drives me nuts. Its that almost every bag is missing some critical part. You cannot assembly the whole thing together. It is very frustrating

This V12 engine model that runs building kit is really cool! I got this for my som who has always been big time into legos and the legos have become very easy for him over the past year or so. He is also big time into cars and the making of cars, its only natural as he was named after Ayrton Senna who's considered one of the greatest Formula1 drivers of all time! But so i ordered this v12 engine model kit to give him something that is a little bit more challenging to do and he has had the best time putting it together! He has not finished it yet but he only started it a few days ago. But so far everything is great. All the pieces fit well together, you do have to push them pretty hard but thats good because it means it will overall be tighter and less likely to break or fall apart after its completed. But if my 8 year old son can do it with only a little bit of help here and there, then it cant be too hard. But again, my 8 year old is super advanced with legos and jist putting things together in general. But this is a very nice quality model kit and I would definitely recommend! Oh yeah and the bags are not numbered so that may make it a little more difficult for some kids.
