Colossal. Monstrous. Behemoth. Gargantuan. REALLY BIG! You’ll want to set some space aside for this beast before you get started on building it. And clear your schedule! A big set like this can’t be built in one night, alone or with help from one or two more people. It took me 6 nights to build this set (I worked on a few steps for a few hours every night, but I forgot which parts took how long). Some parts on this set are a little flimsy and the head seems a little too open, but there are modifications that can be done to rectify those problems if you watch tutorials on YouTube. My son hasn't had Legos since he was 8. He's 19, waiting on him to have some surgery done b4 he can start college. Bought him this to keep him busy for a while. He put it together in 2 and a half days! Looks just like the smaller one he made our 10 years ago. Excellent craftsmanship, sooooo many tiny detailed pieces. We both love it! The kit was shipped in the Lego box only, no cover box. It was wet and damaged when received. Amazon immediately allowed the return/credit and I ordered another unit. This time I clicked on “ don’t ship in manufactures box alone” or something to that effect. Part of the value of resale on this item is a box in great shape so you want to protect it. ... show more

If the belly portion is falling off, that means these 10 white tiles are facing the wrong way. I tried double sided tape, but that didn't work. Upon closer inspection, I did the tiles wrong. They're facing the wrong way. If they're the right way round, they will be strong enough to hold the underbelly. Just use the orange tool to pry off the entire bar on either side and turn them the correct way. The legs can also be a little flimsy because they mainly rely on gravity and are connected only by two little plugs per leg. Lately they have stayed together, but who knows. This is the third large Star Wars set I have purchased (Star Destoyer and M Falcon). The first 2 were a pleasure to build. Had a great time with little issues. This thing is a giant pain and constantly falls apart. The underbelly is junk. Luckily it is only the place where you are supposed to lift the piece. So, every time I need to turn it or move it at all, I end up putting a few pieces back on the under belly. The legs are so heavy and has such weak attachment design that I have to be careful not to tip the piece at all when moving it. I accidentally did that when multiple pieces of the belly fell off and 2 of the legs fell apart. I have finally put the legs back together and am about to rejoin them to the body. Hopefully I can keep it all together this time. Very disappointed in Lego. Given the cost, I expect a LOT higher quality. The attached picture is my attempt to reattach the legs. To be fair and open, i am attempting to attach the full legs and not a half leg like the instructions say. But I had the same problem before. The designer(s) have left out the normal reinforcing pieces so the design relies on single rows of connect points or worse, just 2 total points. Just bad design. ... show more
