The media could not be loaded. If you love legos and Harry Potter you must buy this! So many small pieces, so much detail! I bought a light kit from Game of Bricks to light this beauty up! Clear instructions. Great packaging. Absolutely beautiful set! It took me, by myself, as long to build as watching all 8 movies consecutively. If you’re thinking about buying this, you need to! I’m sad I’m done with it but it’s so incredibly stunning I’d build it all over again. Definitely appreciate all the extra little pieces. My only issue with this set is that it’s over and complete 😭. It is absolutely massive so have some place beautiful to display it! I do appreciate that both halves connect and disconnect easily making it a lot easier to move to its permanent home 😍❤️

Building this Lego set was an absolute blast! I immersed myself in the wizarding world of Harry Potter by watching all the movies while constructing it. It took around 23 hours (give or take) to complete, but every minute was pure joy. This set has quickly become my top favorite among all my Legos. If you're a Harry Potter fan like me, I highly recommend adding this enchanting set to your collection.

Albeit expensive, this is a very impressive set. I got this for my daughter as a Christmas present. She is a huge Harry Potter fan. We are still building but so far I am completely blown away with the detail this set has. It’s mind boggling how a Lego designer came up with this build. I have such respect for their design skills. With the amazing detail comes a very tedious build. There are a lot of small pieces that require precise assembly. If you like that sort of attention to detail you will love this set. You get 4 regular sized figures. The micro figures are nothing more than drone figures. They do give the smaller scale rooms some realism but there’s no other purpose for them. We also purchased one of the 3rd party light kits and are installing them as we build. All parts come in sequential bags so you build small amounts of parts at a time. My only complaint is the instructions are not completely clear. Some pieces are shown graphically where they go and others are shown already in place so you spend some time playing “Where’s Waldo?” comparing pictures in the instructions to your build. This has lead to having to take things apart to place missing pieces and in some cases accidentally using the wrong colored piece in a assembly step. It’s not a problem if you are patient. That’s is the key here, patience. At the point we are at I am guessing that complete assembly will take about 30 hours. I can already tell that this set will be breathtaking when it’s completed. As a child I always wanted one of these large Lego sets. I love it and so does my daughter. Having a background in plastic molding I can see why the set is so expensive. The tooling required to produce some of the pieces in this set had to cost a small fortune. If you can swallow the cost I highly recommend this set. It is truly amazing.

First if you are looking for an EXACT replica of Hogwarts this is a LEGO kit. It won't be exactly the same. But they do a great job getting there. I bought this because I am putting together a scenario with a Hogwarts Express and wanted this to use in the background. One one side you get the external side of Hogwarts (including a stained glass look in many of the windows, a neat surprise). It has many of the areas from the movies. The Great Hall, The Chamber of Secrets (with Basilisk), Moving staircases, Dumbledore's Office, Potions classroom, Defense against the Dark Arts Classroom ... even Umbridge's Pink Office. Add on items include Hagrid's Hut, The Whomping Willow (with car) and boats to travel to Hogwarts. Figures it has some unique ones. In the mini-figures (what I consider normal LEGO size) there are the four founders of Hogwarts. But then there are over 30 "micro-figures" (maybe 1/2" in size) of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Snape, Dumbledore, Malfoy, Umbridge, and a variety of other Harry Potter characters. Good for setting the scene but probably not a good thing to play with if you are a kid. I give it 5 stars because the only way you could improve it would be to add lights - which LEGO doesn't do (but other companies provide kits. Looks great with the lights). As an adult I picked this up as a Harry Potter fan. I found out through Facebook two other adults are doing the same model. The price is not for the faint of heart but it is a really complex. What you would expect for about 6000 pieces. Definitely glad I did this.
