MAXSHOT SUPPORT is BAD!

The MAXSHOT e-scooter seems well made until you have a problem. I ended up having to order another, third, e-scooter from MAXSHOT as on the previous 2 e-scooters one seems to be ok but the second e-scooter just stopped working with an E1 error code. When my daughter contacted MAXSHOT SUPPORT for this problem they said it was a controller board issue and said they would send the parts and instructions. Well this must have been shipped on a slow boat from overseas as it took us around a month to get the parts but guess what? There were no instructions! Well I took the e-scooter apart and quite honestly it looked like a spider web of either hot glue or some sort of adhesive that I had to use an X-acto tool to dig out the connections. This was not fun but I was finally able to get to the connections and then replaced the controller. Now on power up we get an E2 error. My daughter again contacts MAXSHOT SUPPORT and their fix was to say that the motor is the problem and they were going to send the parts. At that point I told my daughter that this is totally unacceptable to have to do all the rebuild on this e-scooter as it is still under warranty. So this is why me (grandpa) had to order a replacement e-scooter and it needed to be the same as the other one, as the girls like having the same e-scooters. If MAXSHOT SUPPORT would have done the right thing they would have referred me to a shop that would do their warranty repairs or they could have replaced the unit but no. So I would be very hesitant buying from MAXSHOT as their SUPPORT is very, very BAD!!!

Good for commute in downtown

just used this scooter to get from my apartment in downtown to the gym, and it’s been great so far. The ride is smooth, and even after going there and back, it didn’t even use up one bar of battery. The brakes also work really well and feel responsive. Super convenient for short trips around the city.

Got the wrong scooter. Had to reorder. The second one arrived, but tracking info through FedEx was incorrect. Scooter is great. This is my second one from the seller. It has held up to hot and cold weather in the desert. My kid has been using the first one to same money and scooter to Fresno State University. She's very happy with it and it's better than a lot of the scooters her friends have, and for less money.

I’ve been really impressed with my MAXSHOT electric scooter. Right out of the box, it feels like a solid, well-built scooter, and the overall design looks great. It has a nice combination of style, comfort, and practicality. The ride is smooth and comfortable, and the scooter feels stable and easy to control. The tires and suspension do a good job of handling normal bumps and uneven pavement, while the acceleration is responsive without feeling too aggressive. The brakes also feel dependable, which gives you extra confidence while riding. I really like the folding design, too. It makes the scooter much easier to store or transport when you’re not riding. The deck provides plenty of room for your feet, and the handlebars have a comfortable grip that makes longer rides more enjoyable. Another thing I appreciate is the attention to detail in the design. The gray-and-orange color combination looks sharp, and the scooter has a modern appearance without being over-the-top. Overall, this has been a fun, convenient, and enjoyable electric scooter. I’ll start by saying, this scooter is pretty great, given the price. Build quality is superior. The suspension is awesome. It accelerates quickly. Steering Is smooth. Lights equipped are bright as heck and cover a lot of ground. The LED indicator system is great. Some negatives are that this scooter is heavy as hell. Definitely not very “portable” and light if that’s what you’re going for. I’m a pretty strong dude and carrying this even 10 feet can be pretty difficult. But that’s because they use strong materials to build this. My biggest hang up on this scooter is the inaccurate and inconsistent mileage you get. They claim that you get up to 25 miles per full charge, but that’s in the best case scenario. Which is if you are traveling on flat surface, and using standard or eco mode and refrain from using any of the lights. I’ve rode this thing 15+ times now on longer commutes and have averaged 19 miles on a full charge. I’ve had this die on me several times around the 21 mile mark because I thought I’d get 25 miles out of it. That was just wishful thinking. You will rarely get 25 miles out of this scooter. So just plan on traveling no more than 21 miles especially if you’re using turbo. It can be a real pain. Another gripe I have is that the scooter is inconsistent on speed. My brother has the exact same scooter and we go riding together all the time. We weigh exactly the same. And we’ll be riding side by side and there are times where he’s capping at a faster speed than I am, even though we’re both in the same speed mode. It’s annoying. I also wish there was an indicator on the scooter that told us how many miles our scooters have left. It only reads you how many you’ve traveled since the startup. Which leads me to a smaller gripe. Which is that when you shut the screen off, all the data resets. So you can easily lose track of how many miles you’ve rode and lead you to a short lived ride if you don’t keep track. Kind of annoying too. Other than those things I mentioned, I’d give this scooter a solid rating. It’s pretty fast by most standards and is built extremely well. I’d suggest buying an external headlight and brake lights because using them can run your battery out and shorten your ride.
