We had one for our special needs kiddo and then got another for my father when he got too sick to move easily on his own. Dad is only 100lbs at this point and is quite short, so it works for him even though it is a small chair. An adult can use it for short periods of time, but it would not be comfy for all-day use. My kiddo and father are both right around 100 and it is comfy and well-sized for them. It's made pretty well. The frames have not bent during heavy use over the past few months. But plastic pieces do fall off once in a while and one of the screws for the handlebar went missing on one of them. We can use the chair for a day out and kiddo is still comfy and happy. But my back and shoulders hurt because the handlebar is so low and close to the chair I have to bend over the whole time I'm pushing. Also, should be obvious, but the person in the chair has no way to move or stop the chair without grabbing/kicking/standing up. Doesn't do a whole lot for fostering independence or stopping oneself from rolling off. It is meant to be a transfer chair or for easily bringing along a wheelchair when you know you'll have someone else who will push you. ... show more

This will work well for my daughter, who is only 10, very petite and well under 5 feet tall. I can imagine a full size adult fitting in this unless they were extremely frail, and in that case it probably would not be very comfortable. I like that it includes a travel bag.

I was looking for a smaller chair for my son who is 9 with DS and doesn't like to walk for a long time. He's too big for strollers and special needs chairs were so big esp for the car. Read lots of reviews on chairs like this one and decided to order. It is perfect for him. He's short for his age and it's a great size for him. The only downside (whiçh I read on one of the reviews) is that it's not for taller ppl to push. They are right. I'm 5'1" and it comes up to my hips below my belly button. It's fine for me but if I were any taller it would prob bug me. Over all it's great for kids that are too big for strollers but too small for reg sized wheel chair. (possible for small thinner adults too) ... show more

I love everything about the chair for my 24 year old daughter except for the height of the chair. If the handle bar I use to push it was higher or adjustable it would make this chair a 10/10. I’ll give it an 8/10. It’s very easy to get in and out of my SUV everyday.

I bought this light weight wheel chair to have something that wouldn't take up a lot of room to go on a road trip with my elderly mother. Mom is 5'2". The wheel chair came and looks just like pictures. The problem is when she puts her feet on the foot rest, her knees are higher than the seat. Also it is very uncomfortable. This probably could be managed with a cushion. Returning the chair because of the knee issue. Maybe with the right size (very small person or child) person this would be very good but not short adult. ... show more
