    • Terrible Customer service - Not as advertised and NO SHADE provided
No shade was included with lamp although it was advertised with a shade and for the price should certainly have included one. Called Amazon who was very helpful, as always. They agreed it should have had a shade but there was no room for one in the box and no second box in the shipment (order said 1 box). Additionally, the lamp looks very little like the picture online (or even at the Uttermost website). It's all brown and gold shaded - NO silver, which is why were were buying it. Customer service at Uttermost was TERRIBLE, unhelpful and rude - would not even discuss with me since they said I was not a wholesaler even though Amazon asked me to call. The packaging was a pain to deal with - too much internal tape and small Styrofoam pellets kept peeling off everywhere. We're sending ours back immediately and will never order from Uttermost again. ... show more

Even though the product description clearly indicates there is a faux suede bell shaped shade, it was not included when it was shipped. Additionally, the color is sort of brassy looking and has a gold metallic glaze over the top. I was hoping for something that truly looked like a poured bronze but instead looks like a cheap plastic mold. The finial is a sleeping lion which you can't see in the picture. The lamp shade is very close to the base and with a wide base, too much lighting is blocked. The lamp shade does not allow much light to penetrate and the combination of those issues provided much less lighting as a 100 watt bulb would normally allow. This lamp only provided about half the light of my old lamps with the same wattage bulbs so I had to return them. ... show more

I love this lamp, but buyers should know that there is no 'silver' look about it at all. It is a beautiful bronze tone lamp. When turned on the lamp shade pretty much glows and emits a very soft light. The shade itself is a sueded material and somewhat prone to showing any snags. Overall I am very pleased. ... show more
