This ladder seems great and it will work for us, but as listed, it states that it has a 500 lb weight capacity. A sticker that comes attached to it says “150 kg,” which is just slightly over 330 lbs. They need to update the listing for safety reasons.

If you are large & considering this ladder, read the negative reviews carefully. I see where people closer to 500 lbs are having trouble with this ladder being too flimsy & narrow. I weigh about 350, and I'm zipping up and down the thing w hardly a creak w enameled cast iron & heavy appliances in my hands (reorganizing my cupboards-9 ft-I can reach all of them on this thing.). I could see where this could give somebody wider than I trouble with the handrails. I wish the description talked about user weight limit & user + workload weight limit. Look closely at measurements to decide if you can fit inside the arm rails, you do need them, especially if you have something in one of your hands. Manufacturer: make a chart including person width & weight to help plus sized buyers. I nearly didn't buy this. I noticed one of my guard rails was twisted & I had to leave out the washer in order to get the threads of one of the screws to engage, but once it got grip it was able to pull the rail into shape with a little pressure from the other side. I will need to watch that rail because it doesn't have a washer. Probably a good idea to check all connections on a ladder I trust my weight to. ... show more

I ordered the step ladder because my wife is worried about me because I am in my 70's and sometimes balance, while on a step ladder is an issue. The sturdiness and the extended handles both on the sides and top is very reassuring. Also, the pouch is great for working on ceiling fans and hanging Christmas ornaments on our RV. I am 78 and removing wallpaper. I wanted a stable ladder. This ladder is perfect very stable. The tool pouch at the top holds my tools so I don’t need to continually go up and down. There are big pockets and small. Holds screw drivers and small and large putty knives as well as a spray bottle with room to spare. On the third step my head just touches ceiling, so plenty high enough. In living room I have vaulted ceilings so got the 4 step. Also while I haven’t had to stand on the 4th step it makes a great platform to rest additional items. Used the ladder for installing a bedroom ceiling fan and now for stripping wall paper. Very happy with the stability which at my age is critical. The only negative is it might be a little heavy for a small person. I am 5’9 male in good shape for my age. It is also bulky with the hand rails installed, but to me safety is very important. I have a walk-in closet and stick it in there when not using it. ... show more

I have wanted this ladder for a long time. I did the assembly that was required and it was easy to do. The ladder is uneven and a bit wobbly. The steps to the ladder are set in too much and it is difficult to climb up. The steps are wide but very difficult to step up due to the positioning. You can see in the picture the there is only about 1 1/2 inches to srep on the=a sticks out. It is hard to describe to help you understand. I will have to return it. I truly wanted this and am sad it didn't work out very well. ... show more

Wanted a bigger/stable steps for my happijac camper bed. The bunk bed ladders have narrow steps and you have to feel for them trying to exit the bunk. This ladder feels to be sturdy and strong, not wobbly. Other reviews stated their ladder was not rated at 500 lbs...……...I noticed a sticker over an existing sticker. The top sticker shows 230 kg=500#, however the first original sticker shows 150 kg=330#...………….the max weight is not important for me, either way, this ladder feels very secure stepping up and standing on the large top step. Fyi, I'm 5'10" 250# and 65 years old...…... ... show more

This is a great sturdy ladder. Not sure it would be for the pound rating they give, but the side and top handles are the reason I purchased it. My husband has 2 bad ankles and knees, and he feels much secure using this to do things like change lightbulbs and air filters. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that one of the handles was slightly bent and would not attach with the hardware provided. After zero response from the company, he was able to get a cheap part and rig it himself. Great ladder, but no customer service. ... show more

This ladder sucks. My son that weighs 200 pounds was on this ladders bottom step and it broke. He scrape his knee on the other step as he went down. He actually got really hurt. Don’t buy this ladder is your weight is 200 lbs or more. IT WILL DEFINITELY NOT HOLD YOU!!
