I had a different one with a combination lock and you had to make sure if you set it down you got it off of the combination or others could easily see the combination. I bought this lock to secure my sliding glass door because my doggo learned how to unlock it. I didn't want some crazy heavy-duty lock or something that would mess up the handles of my door. I ordered the white and it blends in great with the white handles. When I am not locking the door, I just leave it fastened on there since it doesn't stand out much. I love that the lock pops open easily with the key (you twist key and the end springs out). I wanted a lock that would be easy to unlock in a hurry, in case of an emergency. Great value for the price. Very effective. I bought two but can’t lock my freezer because the handle is down lower than what the pic in the ad shows. No biggie I’ll just keep it and gift it or use it on something else. I use this for my beer fridge in my garage. My 26 yo son likes raiding my beer whenever I’m gone or out and about. This put a halt to that nonsense. But this would also be great for double door beverage coolers for hotels, colleges, hospitals, schools, etc. It’s somewhat sleek and stylish and has a decent quality to it. I work in the service and repair field for a major beverage company and now highly recommend this to our customers who may need security for their coolers, because there’s no drilling, cumbersome locks or ugly latches to contend with. Visually, it speaks for itself and definitely sets the statement that it’s restricted. Best of all it’s covered in a protective sleeve that won’t scratch the finish. Highly recommend! And miraculously, I wasn’t drinking all those beers that I was accused of. Funny how that worked out.
