The UPS itself works well. The quality and warranty is subpar. I had my UPS plugged in and used as a UPS/backup for my computer which I use on average maybe 10-15 hours per week. It was used for about 1 1/2 years with only about 2-3 power outages. After being used for about 1 1/2 years the battery practically exploded inside of the case. The battery leaked all over the inside of the case and would no longer work. The 1500va/900W UPS is powered by two 9ah/12v batteries. I contacted SKE support and was told I'm out of luck because there's only a 1 year warranty. For the price of $160 you'd think there might be a little bit longer battery or customer support. I ordered two replacement batteries for about $45 and fixed it myself. If the batteries go out again I will be switching brands.

Have varies brands of ups units, liked cyber power units but last 5 years the charging internal circuits kept dying, had to add 12 vdc charger to each unit to keep running. So far have four of these ups units for last few years and still working fine. Making a convert out of me ! Also the battery changing design is much better and easier ! Companies should redesign units for two pc board modules, one switching, and one charging for long term use and easy fix. Using about 20 ups units now. One bigger mulit unit design would be nice, but makers avoid this nitch, like a boat battery size unit.

Works surprisingly well, Software is USPilon2000 (from TW), installed without problems on Windows 11 with supplied serial number from the UPS sticker on top of the unit. Much better than the free version of APCs software. I've got the 1400VA/900W version to power my 3 monitor rig using ~400W with GPUs on descend load and send it to hibernate after that. The batteries contains useable ~160Wh @30% so select a unit twice VA rating of your devices. If you max out the UPS you lose a lot useable capacity. Unit hums and you can hear the fan running but not annoying. The beeper can be turned off with the front button even if you don't install the software.

I bought this unit in 2023 in case of blackouts to protect my core electronics network. 3 years later, during our first major blackout, the unit failed to provide power despite being continually plugged in. Furthermore, after the power came back on the unit remained non-functional, failing to even pass power through. Ultimately I had to remove the unit from my setup. I feel like I paid $200 for a product that fails the one job it’s supposed to perform with little to no recourse given the amount of time that’s passed since purchase. I would stay far away from this product.

I had to order two new batteries. This unit has been running for two years. There has been very few( 2 or 3) instances of power outages requiring extended run time. Batteries were warped, cracked and corroded at terminals. One battery read 8.2vdc, the other 11.3vdc. Both batteries were reading flat on an ACT intelligent battery tester for amp hours. The unit was not in a hot zone and fan was working fine. 2 years on what should be 6 years is a bad battery life. It is as a result of cheep batteries as well as a demanding electronic design. I replaced the batteries with another pair of Chinese made copies. We'll see how long these last.
