This thing is HEAVY DUTY! It is perfect for the boat trailer. It is easy to mount and stays securely in place with the included hardware. Plus you have some options for the angle at which you want to mount it. It is a great value, and adds a level of safety when entering the boat while it is trailered. Plus no more getting the ladder out and putting it away. It is always right there. If you have a boat, get one of these for easy in and out while on land. Disclaimer: My rating system: EVERYTHING starts at a 5, and goes from there. I thoroughly read the descriptions and if I don't like the description, I don't order the item. This arrived in a HEAVY box- was much better built than I had expected, a great deal for the money. Easy to assemble and mount to my boat trailer. My wife really likes how easy it is to get in and out of the boat when it is on the trailer.It comes in black, but I painted mine to match my trailer tongue.
