I read a bunch of reviews that said this pump does not work but I found it works well. It has pretty cheap lightweight plastic hoses and I don't know how long it will last but I was actually thrilled that it worked as well as it did. I used it with a wavier jerry can and I was afraid that the pumping bulb that went in the can was too big to fit but it fit fine. I had to remove the white plastic strainer that was inside the spout of the can to let the hose enter. A jerry can has no threads to secure the battery to the can so at first I had to hold it so it didn't fall out because I was using a six amp deWalt battery and it's pretty heavy, but then I figured out that I could lean the battery against the wheel of my mower and that would stabilize it and the fill nozzle hooks onto the rim of the gas neck of my mower so I don't have to do anything except push the button on and push the button off. I was also worried that the style of Dewalt battery might not work but I had a 20 V and it worked fine. It's poorly constructed cheap junk but if you're careful with it I think it can last and do the job. I highly recommend the waiver brand of Jerry can, it's easily the best gas can I've ever owned. Expensive but worth it. The just right can was my favorite gas can until I found the Jerry can. I like the fact that there's no nozzle sticking out and it's tightly sealed to a degree that I'm more confident about it not leaking than that just right can. ... show more

I don't write reviews before I use items. I've used this several times and works great. No more spilling fuel using ' none spill spouts'. Also no holding 5 gallon container upside down. BTW I tried other pumps with small batteries but this one works great

    • Measure the opening of your gas can before buying!!!

If it does not fit your gas can return it immediately. I purchased this pump as a replacement to my old battery pump. I waited too long to use it and yesterday I discovered that my gas can opening is not wide enough for the pump suction end. I tried to insert the pump and the cover to the impeller, which makes the whole pump work fell into the gas can. Now I think it is too late to replace and I am not even sure I can fix it. I may have wasted 60$. ****UPDATE*** I emailed the seller with pictures, showing the diameter and measurements and he offered to replace it free of charge. I obviously only used it once but it is fantastic. It uses DeWalt batteries which I have several and has a lot of power. Needed when I refuel the tractor. Thank you!! ... show more

Amazing, I was not sure what to expect This product accepts both DeWalt and Milwaukee batteries and it will empty a 5 gallon can less than a minute. It makes filling my tractor a lot easier.
