    • Great lamp except for one thing
This is a nifty little lamp with a great design. It's exactly what I needed, except for one thing. I'll get to that in a moment, but first, the good things. The base is heavy and it doesn't wobble and the lamp feels sturdy. The cord is nice and long. It was easy to assemble (minus a little bit of fussing to get the lampshade attached because I didn't realize that they had included an extra "fixing ring" to hold the lampshade in place, and that I needed to unscrew the ring that was already there). (The instructions clearly mention this, I just didn't notice it.) All the joints tighten well and it looks straight. The entire head of the lamp rotates around so that you can point it up, down, or any direction in between. The dimming feature is very nice! It works smoothly and I love that I can choose any amount of dimming that I would like, instead of pre-determined amounts. The shade is very nice, and it puts out a very pleasant light. I also love that it came with a light bulb, which is very convenient. As for the one thing I didn't like, the only problem (and the reason I deducted a star) is that the color is really NOT an attractive gold color. I was expecting a gold/shiny brass look. Like another reviewer mentioned, it's more of a very bright, MUSTARD yellow! A very weird color, honestly. But the rest of the lamp functions well enough that I'll either try to paint it, or try to overlook it since it's not going to be used in a main part of the house. Exactly what I was looking for but I can’t say the same about the color. The color is less gold and more mustard orange (I plan on spray painting it hopefully it’s an easy fix.)

It is pretty easy to assemble, and has a really sturdy base. I didn't realize there was an extra ring to hold the lampshade in place. All you need to do is unscrew the one that's already on there, put the lampshade in place, and then screw it back on. The lampshade needs to be assembled as well. I'm not a fan of the color as it's more mustard brown yellow color than a nice gold finish. I like that it's dimmable, and that the lampshade has a range of angles so you can easily light up the room to fit your needs, and it comes with an LED light bulb. ... show more

No complaints. It does what it says it does and looks good at a fair price. The dinner works pretty well, the cord is a good length without being way too long and having a bunch of loose excess, and I didn't even need to look at the instructions to figure out how to put it together. Very easy. Overall, I honestly don't have much to complain about. The lampshade and bulb assembly is even on a ball joint, so it can swivel around. I will say, if I can complain about anything, the paint on a couple parts dies scratch off fairly easily, but it's not way too noticable, it does require you to actually scratch it, and I don't think it's enough of a problem to warrant taking a star. This took me about 10 minutes to put together. The gold color is more of a mustardy/yellow gold. The actual lamp is beautiful though. You turn the knob to your desired brightness and turn the knob back to turn it off. Overall, this lamp has a permanent spot in my living room. This floor lamp is bigger than my table lamps. The base is heavy. No wobbling. The lamp can rotate to face all the directions. It could replace a selfie light because it can be moved to face up on a face and placed for reading again later. The big round lampshade picks up a dull corner with the linen finish on it. This is a nice dimmable LED bulb included lamp. Looks great in my living room. I like the easy knob to dim or brighten it, and that it comes with eh LED dimmable bulb included; ease of access. The color is elegant and will brighten any room with elegance , style, and illumination.
