  • Worked great on a two week road trip
Size: 53 Quart
We used this in our car on a two week road trip. It holds separate temperatures on each side very well and had no problems keeping frozen items frozen. (Hint: Pre-freeze items in your home freezer) As far as noise goes, it is pretty quiet, but not as quiet as many reviews indicated: I would say it is about as loud as a desktop computer fan. The iPhone app worked great, too, though I don't really see why it's needed. One thing I worried about before I tried it was that our car's 12V outlet turns off every time we shut the car off, so I wondered if I would have to manually turn the fridge back on each time we start the car. The answer is no: It remembers your temperature settings and also whether you had the fridge turned on or off. Each time the car turns the 12V outlet back on, the fridge comes back on with the same settings. This is exactly what I hoped it would do. We brought the fridge in to each house we stayed at and used the included 120V adapter. That also worked fine, and I appreciated the long cord. The only improvements I can think of are: The fridge is heavy, especially when loaded, and I worry that the handles will break (although they held up fine). Also, there's a removable partition between the fridge and freezer compartment. It would be cool if this had multiple positions, to get more fridge and less freezer room. Edit: I should mention that the fridge (53qt) fits perfectly in the back of our Tesla model Y. We orient it lengthwise on the driver's side of the rear platform. When shoved up against the rear seat, there's just enough room to close the rear hatch. The model Y has a 12V outlet at the very back on the driver's side, so this is a perfect place for it. As a bonus, we discovered that this outlet stays powered at all times if Tesla Sentry Mode is active. This means we can park the car and the fridge continues to run. ... show more

  • I love it ❤️
Size: 38 Quart
The media could not be loaded. Update...my Handel recently broke off and I am really sad...it makes it really hard to pull and lift it by myself. I wish this company made replacement handles since this seems to be a known issue with the weak handles 😔 I really love this cooler. It works very well with the app and is easy to connect. I used it while on vacation to hold more food. Our hotel fridge was small. But this allowed for more storage of drinks and leftovers. The middle section can be removed for a more open option. It has 2 wheels for easy pulling. It can be plugged into the car's charger slot to use while on the go. It is large enough for me needs. I can also use portable power banks to run it while out on the go as well or in emergency cases. This charger is just all around great for what I was looking for. It gets really cold as well and has dual Temps for each side of the cooler. This cooler is a great value for its size, app connectivity, ease of use, portability, keeps foods cold and price. ... show more

  • Will it ever get colder? But a Possible fix. Higher review
I purchased this refrigerator in October of last year. It was delivered on the 14th. My wife and I were very excited to make this choice because some other brands are more expensive, even though the reviews on this one seem to be mixed in opinion. We never purchased this refrigerator to keep food frozen, only to keep it at proper temperature for camping. But it should get cold enough to do as advertised to freeze food. The refrigerator seem to work OK for keeping food cold in the beginning. But I never did a test on it to see if it would actually freeze or keep food frozen when I first purchased it. This is a lot of money to pay for something that really doesn’t work well. I’ve been running it off and on in our van since that time. I have a dedicated battery system/solar generator to operate it while we are traveling. I have also used it to bring food home from shopping, but not actually to go camping with for which it was it its intended purpose. For the past two days now in February 2022, it seems to take a very long time to get cold. I have been running it since last night so it has been almost 24 hours, and it has still not gotten to the temperature I set it to go to which is 30° or colder. The coldest it seems to get is in the 40s. I have had it set to 30 or less the whole time. I took out the baskets earlier this morning to see if having those chambers open to each other would help it work to get colder faster. Before having the baskets and the divider installed, the larger side would never drop below 60°. This has been a very slow process for this refrigerator. A good amount of warm air comes out the vents as expected. I am now thinking that this refrigerator has some type of problem with how it was manufactured. This is very disappointing considering the price point of over $500. I’m upset & scared to make contact with the manufacturer because of the reviews written that they do not respond! I would say possibly avoid this refrigerator and buy something else even if it cost a few hundred dollars more. Friends of mine that go camping quite a bit always talk about a brand called Dometic. But now I am very upset at the thought that I am going to have to spend money on another brand. This refrigerator made by Bodega has the potential to be a very nice unit. It is well made, and things are easy to understand. I have made all the proper adjustments months ago on the control panel to compensate for voltage input, and how this affects the unit running constantly, instead of shutting off because of F1 low voltage warning. I gotten the F5 code warning in the past which indicates a low voltage situation. You just change the voltage settings to fix that. It’s funny it popped this up even when it’s plugged into the AC outlet today in February. Something is wrong with this unit for sure. I even have changed it from Eco mode, to max power, and it still has a very hard time getting to the temperature you want it to get to. At this point I’m afraid to take it on our camping trip two days from now. I worry that I’m going to lose all my food even though the food will be chilled and frozen. I have a trip planned two months from now that will take my wife and I through three states. I’m thinking seriously of just buying something different. This is so disappointing…. February 15, 2022, UPDATE: (Possible Fix For F-5 Error) I did this: Since the customer service reviews are so horrible, and I’m past the return window I did this. I was able to fix the refrigerator and it works perfectly, even freezes water! The F5 warning is actually overheating of the unit. Not low voltage as I mentioned earlier in my review. Should have done my research! This was the problem. The cooling fan was not working. It was stuck rubbing the condenser coils. I don’t think the fan ever worked because of this. You can check this, maybe it’s a fix for you. This is a common maintenance you need to check with any refrigerator anyway. Put the refrigerator on a bench so the compressor side with the vented panel hangs over to remove it with the screws showing underneath. Of course unplug the refrigerator prior to removing the panel. The power input plug receptacle is connected to that panel. Remove the red and black wires and remember to put them back the same way. Locate the fan and see if it spins free using a pencil by flicking it. If your mechanically inclined you can carefully run the refrigerator before you remove the wires to see if the fan spins. I used a small plastic pry tool to clearance the fan housing from the coils. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE COILS, or the fan housing. Test run and use compressed air to blow out any dust. Put the cover back on. Test run. I duct taped screen on the inlet side to keep large debris from entering. This is a possibility for those of you with overheating issues. The refrigerator works perfectly now. Freezes water! ... show more
