I have two incubators . The other one is larger than this one and holds the temperature well, but it is made with a Styrofoam case around the outside to help it maintain temperature and I have to remember to add water every other day. The temperature on this one does seem to be a little off. I put my own temp/hygrometer in and it's always a degree off. Because of this I have been using my other incubator for most of the process and then the last few days moving the eggs to this one so I can monitor them without having to open the lid, and the automatic watering is a huge plus! A regular water bottle will fit in the watering base provided. The 4 cups that come with it are odd. Ive had others like them that would automatically keep the water level of the cup the same, but these aren't working like they're supposed to. I didn't read any instructions though so maybe I didn't set them up right. I didn't need them anyways so it's not really a big deal.

I've had this incubator for 7 months now. The first thing i dont care for is the eggs lay on their side. I have had awful hatch rates and could never keep the humidity consistent. Once it goes up its really hard to bring it back down without opening the lid. Numerous chick's were lost to shrinkwrapping or drowning in this unit. I invested in a better quality incubator and my hatch rate drastically improved. After trying a 3rd batch in this and having lost all chick's, I have only used it as a dryer for babies before moving them to a broader. I did use a hygrometer/thermometer and it has been so inconsistent. And it seems as though the heating element may have gone out, after less than 5 batches of eggs. I am by no means a pro at incubating and hatching eggs, but I had my hatch rates up to 80-90% after switching to a different incubator. I also have only had chicken eggs, no ducks or anything.

I bought this incubator as an upgrade from my 6 egger. I’m happy with the size, it gives the chicks good room to hatch and move about. It is keeping consistent temperature and rotating the eggs well. I like that I can adjust the slot sizes easily. I am having a heck of a time getting the humidity to regulate though. The lower tray it fills it large- if I have the water reservoir level with the base it lets in many oz of water and raises the humidity much too high. So I’m having to play with it a lot. So far I haven’t found a great solution. I live in a dry climate- indoors is usually 25-30%. So far I’m happy but also was hoping to have consistent, hassle free humidity control. For that I dropped a star.

Instructions we're easy to understand, and you can check the eggs with built in light, automatic turning and you can see through it. I simply cannot say enough good things about it. I highly recommend it.

I got 30 free fertilized eggs and decided to give a go at hatch some. I put 12 in and 11 hatched. Instructions were simple but enough. I would not put so many in next time due to size 😅 but I was not expecting a 99% success rate either. Turner worked perfect. Temp stayed constant. I would keep it on a towel or such for some water spillage when filling bottle for humidity. Otherwise very please esp with the lower cost compared to others.

This arrived very quickly but I did not receive the 4 waters which I didn't need anyway. I set up the incubator and the automatic turner does not work. The motor engages but it does not spin so I turn by hand 3 times a day. I also bought a hygrometer/thermometer combo which is very important because the incubator does not read the correct temp. I'm incubating duck eggs which require 37.5°C or 99.5°F. I have to set the incubator to 39.5°C to reach that temperature internally. The water bottle dispenser is terrible. You will have water everywhere. I took the bottle off and just pour a little water directly into the dispenser when needed. I made the mistake of dumping an entire bottle of water into it to start but was reaching over 80% humidity so I had to dump some out until it was able to level off at 55%. I now only need to dump a little into the dispenser at a time to maintain proper moisture. This item does incubate eggs although I can not attest to how well as I haven't had a hatch yet but it is not as hands-off as the description implies. I would like to add that the seller "albuming" contacted me after this review with an apology and was very supportive. I would certainly not hesitate to purchase from this seller again and would like to thank them for such great customer support.

My kids love it, so am I I bought this for my kids just to let them understand the greatness and preciousness of a life. Not expecting too much, but I do see how my kids take really good care about the whole process. They scrambled to add water, to check eggs, and I even caught my wife checking the machine at the middle of the night. Unfortunately, 3 of the eggs didn't make it, so I let my kids bury them in the backyard. I can see their grief, feel like it's a little too cruel to them as they are under 10 years old, but I believe it's also a good lesson. After all, we got 15 chicken hatched. At the day the chicken were born, I've never seem my kids that happy.

I just received and set it up, as I have incubated eggs before, I know to always double and triple check temperature, so I added 2 extra thermometers in the trays and the machine never was able to get to correct temperature. I am sending back and willing to try again with a replacement. I will let you all know how the second one does after I receive it.
