This lift is sturdily built with heavy steel and is careful designed. - it's simple but highly effective and will work for most instances. The adjustable angle of the legs allows access to many areas that would otherwise not be accessible. Be aware of dimensions. It requires a 26 in wide passage. Our doors are 28 inches but with moulding and the fact that the door cannot swing back 180 degrees the opening is limited to 25.5 inches - the lift couldn't fit couldn't fit through. The other caveat is the width of the seat - it will fit in an 18 in wheelchair bit not in a smaller one (which we use in the house). We worked with tech support on these issues and were very satisfied - response was very quick and very helpful.

I don’t do a lot of reviews. But I am an RN and my wife has cancer and MS and is disabled. I bought this based on reviews and the product specs, and I needed something that could be a portable hoyer lift. And so far it has been perfect. Transfers between bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to car, and bed to bedside commode are a piece of cake, even compared to much more expensive and complicated hoyer lifts I have used professionally. It folds up neatly and fits across the back seat of my car so that the wheelchair can go into the trunk. It is very stable and sturdy, with an easily adjustable base that can get very wide, and it seems that every aspect of use (such as the comfortable, thick round grips for her to hold while I lift her) are so well thought out that I can’t see much that I can complain about. It is not for bariatric patients, as it has a limit of 280 lbs., but for most use cases it should do just fine. Hopefully its endurance will match its thoughtful design. I will post again about it if something if something comes up, but for now, I recommend it wholeheartedly.

The media could not be loaded. I would love to to be able to leave a 5 star review because this product has made it possible for my mother to be free to be out and about. She can't walk or even stand and was not able to invest in a modified vehicle that could transport her in her wheelchair. As a result, she could only travel by ambulance or transport service. This lift was by far the cheapest option. We have been thrilled with the ease and effectiveness of use. We mainly use it for getting in and out of the car but it can be easily used to sit on chairs or to get onto a bed, etc. when a transfer board can't be used due to height differences and other complications. We love this lift!! However, over the last 4 months it has developed a lean and a wobble, causing the front wheel to come off the ground when in use. This makes it difficult to push or turn. We limit the distance we have to use it by getting everything very close but it is getting harder with each use. It appears as though one of the joints is bent and the wheels are too small to compensate. We contacted the company and they have been very helpful and are looking into providing us with a replacement. I hope they can learn from this problem and fix it. If so, this product would be far more than 5 stars.

This is a little different of a review. For us, this product did not work but to no fault of the product. We had very unusual requirements but wanted to give the lift chair a shot. This product is of unbelievable quality. I'll admit I was skeptical at first. When I received it, the metal tubing was so strong/thick. And the welds were done unbelievable well. This chair is so strong and comfortable. It rolled on its wheels with a 185lb person effortlessly. It lifted and declined so smoothly it was very comfortable and not scary for the person seated. It works excellent for what it was designed to do. And yet, it is incredibly light for how well it is built. And it simply folds and easily lifts into a trunk of a car. Unfortunately for us, our truck was too high (higher than most) for the chair to lift my Dad into the truck seat. But it came very close. It would have worked perfectly. Too bad for us but not for most of you. That said, the Seller (xilinb) was unbelievably understanding of our situation and was so kind to offer a refund. They went above and beyond to assist us. They were quick, courteous, professional, helpful, and very accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again! This product and the Seller, xilinb, are a 5!
