We bought this to replace a canopy that we bought from REI about 10 years ago that we finally decided needed to be replace. Probably would have bought the same one again if it were still available. The first time we set that one up was during a snow storm, and it was challenging. Luckily there were a few men there and they got the job done. After that, it was easy. We decided to set this one up in the yard to make sure the size was right, and that we could do it easily when camping. I watched the video a few times and thought I had it down. NOPE. The one thing we found out is that the corners have to be inside the poles. Once we got that figured out, it didn't take long to finish. Next time we'll fold the corners in before putting the poles through. I don't think I could do it alone, though. ... show more

I absolutely loved this tent. I was so heartbroken that I had to return it. It worked perfect for my needs and used it in my campsite for two days. It worked perfect but when I looked up, several white lines had caught me eye. There were several areas in the top portion where the material looked like it was starting to separate, small white lines. I was unable to "exchange" it because I had not way to check the replacement to see if it was ok prior to the return date. I had to return it.     • Great, but not waterproof
I LOVE this canopy, but it isn't waterproof at all. In a moderate 1-hour rain shower, water soaked through the fabric and dripped on things underneath it a bit. It was better than nothing in the rain, but certainly not waterproof or a structure I would want to be under in heavier rain. I would highly recommend this for the beach or park, but not for camping. ... show more

This shade definitely needs 4 people to assemble faster. For our family of two adults and two kids was a team effort. You do need plenty of space wherever you decide to set it up but once it is up, it is awesome. You move the side panel according to the side where you need it and it is super sturdy and spacious. This canopy is great, the only bad thing, is they only come with 2 sidewalls, and is not easy to find and buy another one, bise that is a great purchase.

    • Quick and easy
This was easy to set up. We are using it to have a dry spot on the patio. Enough room for four good size chairs and a table with the 10x10. Tall enough to stand up for even the tallest of our friends.

Not that I was hoping to test out the durability, but unfortunately with in hours of setup…. This worked good against the wind and sun, but not even a moderate rain showed it’s weakness. I don’t think I’ll be using this again unless I’m camping in the desert.
