I like these wheels. I have 2 sets on 2 chairs. they roll over my tile floors pretty easily. the factory wheels that came on these chairs were junk so this is a massive improvement. a word of caution though. because they swivel and roll so easily make sure your chair is fully under control before you sit or it *may* roll out from under you. also by the same function, I have noticed that if I lean in a way, such as leaning forward to pick a pencil up from the floor the chair feels like it would tip. the wheels move very easily so i can see it shooting off in a direction dumping a person into the floor. it hasn't happened to me, but I did need to catch my balance a few times because I have dropped something and tried to fetch it. other than that they are great. just mind the tipping point. ... show more

The wheels are a perfect replacement for standard, easily stuck on rug or carpet protector wheels. They are absolutely quiet work great. If you have more than one work station, (place) in your office, that you go between frequently, Like I do, (several computer stations) you will simply LOVE these wheel replacement. Warning, there is ONE small thing you have to watch for: If you get up out of your desk chair, the chair CAN move away from you rather easily, so don't become distracted and forget to look behind you as you sit down once again. Update: Changing my initial review as I'd thought these wheels were made wrong. Frustratingly realized IKEA chair wheels can't use universal replacements after returning these and getting a different set of universal wheels. To be more precise: I. Love. Them. They replaced a set of those standard "double-wheeled" casters - which as a rule I find work horribly when in perfect condition - but mine were in terrible condition. The "no wheel wheels" -- that not only did not roll properly or smoothly, but wherein the wheels of 4 of the 5 old casters would fall out if the chair was lifted, leaving the caster stem(s) stuck in the base! How annoying (you may well imagine, n'est-ce pas?) and my joy at the simple functionality and impeccable action of these new beauties has ... well ... has given me the energy & the courage to go on living . . . One more day at a time . . . obviously . . . but that's not chopped liver. 5 stars, plus! ... show more

These have made a great deal of difference in my time in front of the computer. I have several dogs in the house, so hair and tidbits dropped on the ground are always a problem; My old wheels were clogged with this sort of gunk, and moving my chair took actual effort. It was a pain, and at t his time I can't afford a new good quality desk chair. Enter these new freewheeling additions to my chair, and it's a while new game. For those of you who aren't spring chickens (like me) they take some getting used to, so be careful until you get used to how fast and easily these can move. ... show more

These wheels are fantastic compared to regular plastic office chair wheels. They are especially good if you live in a household of long haired women. My old wheels used to get jammed up with hair and I would spend a considerable amount of time trying to clean them out. With these one bolt to take the wheel out and clean them makes a world of difference. They also don't scoff up my hardwood floors like my plastic ones would and roll a lot smoother and quieter. I have an embroidery business. Wheels on the office chair had ceased to rotate, due to thread buildup. Bought these based on a group recommendation. Phenomenal. Only problem is that they are so smooth and so silent that if you really do need to double check that you didn’t some how brush the chair and send it Gliding to the far corner of the room in stealth mode BEFORE you sit back down...     • Garbage - Failed after 2 months - DO NOT BUY
Thought these were great initially. Fast forward 2 months, and there's dozens of little ball bearings in the floor and grease spots all over my office carpet. Also, thanks to the ball bearings in the casters falling out, all the wheels are loose, so when I went to sit down yesterday, the wheels shifted and I my butt went into the floor. Lesson learned, don't cheap out and go with the knock-off no name brand for casters. ... show more
