I had help installing this. I like the Universal Garage Door Opener Remote Keypad from the LYPEC store, because it works, it came w/ all the necessary screws and instructions, and a battery. Room for improvement would be to use a name brand battery, and to include my garage door opener - Craftsman 13953990d w/ purple learn button, in the compatible list. Mine has a faded purple button on the actual opener, which you can access after you get on a stable ladder, and slightly pinch the white plastic light cover in and down. There a few steps to program your 4 digit code in. I messed up and had to do it twice. But the instructions are both on a sheet of paper, and inside the keypad cover too. PS - It's good to have your house key in your pocket, so you can be confident it works right. Finally, I programed the keypad and tested it before attaching it to my house exterior, which is done w/ 2 screws - the 1st one you screw into your house exterior, leaving it protrude a bit, and put the keypad over the screw, and then down to hang it on that screw. Then, remove the battery cover and battery - I left it plugged into power, and insert a small provided screw through the hole behind the battery compartment. Then put the battery back in place, and its cover back on. I didn't drill holes into my house or use the plastic anchors - I only used the screws. I figured, if the screws didn't go into the wood siding well, I could always drill a hole then. I removed my old keypad, washed and dried the wall, and used a stainless steel screw I had. ... show more

I just recently replaced my garage door opener with a Chamberlain wall mount (Model RJO70). This remote keypad paired up with it just fine. the instructions for pairing are located inside the lid of the keypad. The only issue I had while pairing was understanding exactly how to get my door opener into pairing mode because it seemed to leave out a single button press that was needed. But that has nothing to do with this item. Once I got the door opener into pairing mode, it connected exactly like it was supposed to. It even has a feature where you can program in a temporary use code that expires after how ever many uses you decide. Great for if you want someone to be able to go in your garage only once or twice with a code that isn't your full time code. Those instructions are on the lid as well. Along with how to wipe it completely and start fresh. Attaching it to the garage door threshold is as simple as two screws and it's powered by a 9v battery that came with the keypad. It looks exactly like the LiftMaster keypad that I had at a previous house just without the LiftMaster name one the front. Works exactly the same as well. Costs a little less though. Looks almost same as keypad hat I replaced that was 12 years old. Programming was straight forward as I followed direction for purple learn button which I have on older chamberlain opener. Programming took a couple of minutes at the most. Was able to use one of the mounting screw holes but had to drill hole for bottom mount. Total time was about 5 minutes. Kudos to the actual item product page, it was very easy for me to see if my garage door opener was compatible with this remote. I have a Liftmaster so I had an incredibly easy time getting this set up (only had to push the learn button once during parts of the set up instead of 4-5x). I was able to set a PIN on my first attempt and got it working in less than ten minutes. Super pleased. Also comes with a pre-attached battery, which was a nice touch. This garage door opener was very easy to mount and looks very subtle. I did have a bit of trouble programming it, but that's because I kept missing a step in the programming process. There are about 8 steps required to program the remote, but the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Just make sure you follow them exactly.
