  • Programming instructions did not work initially but Seller replied quickly with revised instructions
Color: Black 2 Pak
Just want to start off with the fact that I hardly ever write reviews but I just had to express my POSITIVE experience with this seller. I needed a replacement transmitter for my 1994 model Lift Master garage door opener (Green Button). I bought the 2 button 2 pack. Great price! They arrived in a few days. When I went to program them, it seemed to work correctly following the enclosed instructions. I heard the click and the light flashed on the LiftMaster opener. But when I pushed the button, the door would not open or close. I sent a message through Amazon Contact Seller. I explained how I did the programming and attached pictures of my liftmaster and model stickers. The seller, who is in China, replied within 12 hours! They gave me revised instructions that worked perfectly. I highly recommend this seller and their products. Quality transmitters and great customer service!!!!! Here are the revised instructions below so others can use them if they have problems programming per the paper instructions. Remember that I had a GREEN button 1994 unit that required me to push the button 4 times during programming. You may have to push a different number of times depending upon your actual unit. See the paper instructions for the proper protocol. Here are the revised instructions from the seller: 1. Slide away the slide cover and located the round black program button in our universal remote control which is sitting near the dipswitch, you press and hold it until the blue LED lights on, then release it. 2. Press and release any of the 2 remote control button of our remote control you want to use to control your garage 4 times. (Press and release this button 4 times continuously). Now you set the correct brand and model for your motor with green button. Then you press again the round black program button(locate near the dipswitch) to store the brand setting. 3. You take ladder out and climb to press and release the green learn button of your garage door motor, now you press again the remote button of our universal remote control that you set with the correct brand. 4. Now you should have already paired our universal remote. You could see the door is moving. Great seller, great customer service, great quality product. ... show more

  • So far so good on Linear Garage LDCO801! (but meh programming instructions)
Color: black
I got it working and seems ok thus far. The instructions are confusing and seem incomplete and maybe erroneous. Lotsa complaints about the programming instructions in the reviews. For future buyers, this is the process I used as my Linear LDCO801 garage door opener had a 'Learn' button: * Removed battery cover from the remote. * Press and hold the small black program button in the remote until the remote status LED turns solid blue * On the garage door opener I pressed the 'Learn' button once (the garage door opener did some light blinking) * On the remote, press the remote's numbered button that you want associated with the door once (and the garage door opener did the some light blinking. * Press once but do not hold the remote's small black program button and the remote blue LED turns off (I believe saving the setting). * Test opening and closing the garage door with your new remote. * Replace battery cover I’ve also attached pics of the instruction user manual in case any lost their copy ... show more

  • Bad programming instructions and can't use both remotes on the same Legacy 800 device.
Color: Black 2 Pak
First, the instruction manual was completely wrong in setting this remote up for my Genie Legacy 800! Luckily, one of the commentators provided the accurate programming instructions: 1. Remove the battery cover on the remote. Press and hold its black program button until the blue LED light on the remote comes on and remains steady. 2. Select which of the remote's outside buttons you want to program to open your door. Press and release that button 6 times, making sure that the LED light stops flashing between each press. 3. Go back inside the remote and press the black program button once. The blue LED light on the remote should turn off. 4. Now go to your garage door opener. Press and release the opener's LEARN button. The LED light (red on mine) should flash continuously. 5. Press the selected button on your remote control 3 times. On the third press, the you garage door opener should activate if the programming was successful. If not successful, repeat the above steps, but in step 2, press the remote button only 5 times. Second, one cannot use both remotes at the same time (one per car). You can program both remotes for the Legacy 800, but, once you use one of the remotes, it cripples the second remote. If you reprogram the crippled remote and use it to operate the Legacy 800, it cripples the first remote. I even tried setting up one remote to use "button 1" and the other to use as "button 2" to no avail. The remotes are designed to be backups for each other. This is a bizarre business model. If I had purchased two Genie/Legacy remotes, they would both work without nullifying the other remote. So buying a "Two Pack" of this remote control garage door opener/closer is a waste of money! Tech support said this is a feature and not a bug. Unbelievable. Nowhere does it mention that one cannot use both remotes on the same garage door opener/closer at the same time and that only one can be used at any one time. Third, the de-activating the other remote control device does not affect the original Genie/Overhead Legacy 800 remote control. The original remote control operates the door remotely despite the presence of the generic remote that Amazon sells. ... show more

  • Good
Color: Keypad (flip-up cover)
Works great. Only issues was screws that came with it are not the highest quality and I left it open during a hurricane and it kept beeping. Removed battery for a couple days then reinstalled and went right back to normal

  • Won't program with dead batteries.
Color: Black 2 Pak
Dead batteries that came in them make programming tough. After trying to program a couple times, the light was flashing very dimly. Tried new batteries. Indicator light brighter, and programming worked right away.
