I needed an opener that would open the newer style garage door openers, and the old DIP switch model for my Butler building. I couldn't get either one of these work. Someone in another review said to email the email address listed in the instructions and that person was very helpful. I had to do this for both style garage openers. Both work as they should. The only thing I don't like about the opener are when it's attached to the visor, the 3 buttons to open your garage door opener are at the back of the opener, not the front like most other openers. I'm thrilled that I found an opener that worked on 2 different kinds/types of openers. Being it does work with both openers and the email support was really good, I'm giving it 5 stars. ... show more

This was very simple to use and program for our Genie garage door opener. It had me nervous when I learned I had to program the remote first, but it’s essentially picking which mode it needs to be on and can be redone if you make a mistake. I especially love the easy access to the battery!!!

Did not work with my Wayne Dalton Quantum 3213 Garage Door opener. The instructions are a small folded piece of paper. There are instructions by manufacturer. There are instructions for dip switches. There are instructions for PROGRAM buttons by manufacturer. The one that appears to apply to me was the PROGRAM button by manufacturer where you have to click the black button, then click the button you want to open the garage 17 times. Then you hit the PROGRAM button on the garage opener, then you hold down the button that you just hit 17 times... up, press again... up, press again waiting for the garage opener to read. Mine never did. Build quality seems cheap. Returning this today and getting something else. ... show more

I have 3 different openers, some of which are really old, including: Genie Bluemax (12 dipswitch) Stanley (10 dipswitch) Chamberlain (purple learn) This 3-button remote was able to learn all of these no problem. Honestly, I was surprised this worked so well right out of the gate. I was able to program two completely brand of different openers, one for a Lift Master Gate, and the second for a Overhead Door garage door opener. Even though the two openers do NOT have the same security technology, I was able to program 2 different buttons on this remote for the two different openers. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that the battery is a small CR2032 which doesn't have a lot of power, so you do need to be somewhat near the openers for it to work. ... show more

I needed a remote that would work for three doors w/ two different brands of opener. (Can't believe the NEW car I bought didn't come w/ Homelink!). Works great! Right up front I'll say you need to carefully read the instructions. Other more brand specific remotes are a little easier and faster to program and because this one works w/ different brands and frequencies there are additional steps required. This a pretty good remote, although it is not totally universal one of my devices needed a type of pin configuration that the device does not support. This device is a popular opener that is about 7 years old. But it does operate a 2025 (not a Chamberlin Security+ 3.0 which is proprietary), and an old Liftmaster opener. It has a remarkable operating range of perhaps 300 feet. So, all in all not a perfect universal remote but a pretty good one. ... show more
