Bought this to replace the remote for a Sears garage door opener that exactly matched one of the model numbers it stated that it replaced. I tried programming it with the remote’s dip switch sequence and the opener on the wall’s and neither worked. Contacted customer service before returning and implemented all of their suggestions, which weren’t anything different from the instructions and what I had previously tried. I was sorely disappointed as I have been needing a replacement as my old one will get stuck or decide not to work from time to time

I needed an opener that would open the newer style garage door openers, and the old DIP switch model for my Butler building. I couldn't get either one of these work. Someone in another review said to email the email address listed in the instructions and that person was very helpful. I had to do this for both style garage openers. Both work as they should. The only thing I don't like about the opener are when it's attached to the visor, the 3 buttons to open your garage door opener are at the back of the opener, not the front like most other openers. I'm thrilled that I found an opener that worked on 2 different kinds/types of openers. Being it does work with both openers and the email support was really good, I'm giving it 5 stars.

This a pretty good remote, although it is not totally universal one of my devices needed a type of pin configuration that the device does not support. This device is a popular opener that is about 7 years old. But it does operate a 2025 (not a Chamberlin Security+ 3.0 which is proprietary), and an old Liftmaster opener. It has a remarkable operating range of perhaps 300 feet. So, all in all not a perfect universal remote but a pretty good one.

It arrived today and I was able to pair it to my opener. The current one goes through batteries so I'm hoping the battery for this one last a long while. Instructions were a little vague for liftmaster or Chamberlain brand. Nothing in the paper work says to push the learn button on the opener itself just on the remote used to open the door. Perhaps that was over looked. Had to Google how to pair on Chamberlain brand which worked in a snap. Its got a sleek slim design.

The range is good and this 3-button remote is as close as it gets to built-in Homelink for a new car that didn't come with Homelink. I didn't find the instructions to be as bad as other reviews mentioned, I found it pretty straightforward. Bonus for not needing an original remote to clone from before having the garage opener learn this new remote. The battery door is at the front instead of the back, while the embossed arrow & large piece make it easy to confuse it for a pressable button. Even with the battery door removed, the battery is not accessible without disassembling the remote (as another review had mentioned); seems like a huge design oversight. But here is my big issue with the DIP switch programming: The reason it did not work for me is because I have one gate (learn button) and two garages (DIP switch). The learn button programmed just fine. But while the description says that all 3 buttons can be programmed to different brands/types/frequencies, it never mentions that you can only program 1 DIP switch remote (at the time of this review). Even the instructions use phrases like "press button to save" making me believe that I was "saving" the DIP switch settings to the button, but in reality it's only saving the frequency and still refers to the DIP switches every time you press the button. Programming a second button to open a different DIP switch garage just causes both buttons to open the same garage, which in my case makes it impossible for me to control both of my DIP switch garages with this 3-button remote. I contacted the seller to point this out and they said "correct since there is only 1 set of DIP switches." This seems like a huge limitation to leave out of the description. I can remedy this by installing a learn button type receiver for one of the two DIP switch garage openers, but that would end up costing so much that I would rather just buy a different remote. I still have an old "Why Evo" remote that has more programming flexibility than this remote, although it's twice as expensive. If you have multiple DIP switch remotes to program, I suggest the "Why Evo" remote instead because this will not work.
