I’ve bought and tried SO many different brands of garage door opener KEYPADS, trying to get the optimum features I am looking for, and have always been disappointed, for various reasons. …until now — HERE is the BEST one, and even for a low price (compare this one's price to the one from Lowes that does NOT have these features, and yet costs $47!). Below are the features I was looking for, and FOUND in THIS keypad: * UNIVERSAL CONTROL for MOST modern garage door openers. * Keypad COVER that protects AND is EASY TO OPEN. * Keypad that LIGHTS UP to make pushing individual keys EASY TO SEE (even in the DARK). * Keypad that BEEPS as you touch each individual key, so you can HEAR the progress of entering your personal 4 digit code. * Keypad that allows you to CLOSE the garage door by JUST pressing ENTER, within a minute of opening the door (without having to re-enter your code, again). * Keypad that ALLOWS MULTIPLE GUEST CODES to provide access to your garage by others when you give them their own code. * Guest Codes that EXPIRE after a certain number of uses OR after a certain amount of time, which you can set. * A SOLID structure that won’t easily get knocked off wall, damaged by weather, or stolen by thieves. * Easy physical install with included hardware. At first I had trouble programming with the company's instructions. Tried several times with no success. Then I went to you tube. Found a recording with similiar devices and it was very easy to do. From that point on it took me about three minutes.

BeanKOneal Universal Garage Door Keypad I tried for a couple of hours to program this remote to no avail. Finally got it to program & work my Sears door motor Model 139.53600 / Liftmaster 41A3066. Sears Remote Model 139.53718 It didn't program correctly or work because I used the DIP switch settings from my original operable car visor remote. It has 8 dip switches. After a couple of frustrating hrs, checking & rechecking my dip switch settings, I almost gave up & thought I'd have to return it. I climbed a ladder to check the Craftsman main motor dip switches which happened to be a 9 DIP switch. I cleared the Universal keypad of all previous codes and put in the 9 DIP switch codes. (following the written Universal Keypad instructions precisely) It installed it perfectly & the remote keypad now works with my 25-30 yr old Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener, along with my original car visor remote control. (which had only 8 dip switches) - the first switch from the main motor evidently wasn't used or needed on the remotes they sold with the garage door opener unit. In small letters on the bottom of the programming instructions was the following helpful instructions: "if your programming process is messed up or your pin is messed up, you can press and hold Buttons "1" and "#" on the keypad for 5 seconds and it will restore factory settings." I cleared the codes EACH TIME after putting in a couple wrong "Opener I.D 2 digit codes and it worked on the third try. Compatibility list & Opener ID codes are included in the precise instructions. (only a couple words spelled wrong..Example: they wrote TEXT each time instead of TEST, No biggie, I understood the instructional sentences clearly. This opener is stated to work with most "Colored Learn button" Garage door openers as well as most popular DIP switch Garage Door openers. 1993 to present. Very clear Instructions are given for all types of motor opener code settings. Make sure you pick the correct procedure. Also lighted keys for night operation. Works w/9V battery installed. That's right, installed, not sold separately. That's a switch! Hope it lasts..... mounted on the garage door frame outside. Happy. Hope it lasts. Made in China June 2023 ... show more

It was so easy to connect the remotes to our opener. My only disappointment is that to open the door, we have to be very close for it to send the signal.

I have purchased at least three other keypads for my other homes and each one allows me to simply push the "enter" button to "close the door" when exiting after opening the door using the keypad. This keypad requires me to enter my special code to both open AND close. I do not find this convenient. I would much rather just push the enter button to close. ... show more

The product is fine. The instructions are poorly organized and written by someone who doesn't speak English natively. So here's the idea for people who have LEARN buttons on their garage door opener: First, set both openers to the same pattern of random switches by opening it up and flipping the tiny levels. Now select the brand. Each brand has a corresponding number of presses on a table in the instructions. Press and hold the black button until it turns red. Press the button you want to use X times based on the table I mentioned. Press learn on your opener, then press the button you programmed the brand into. Note that you have to program each button to the brand separately. This is a little annoying if you have to press it 17 times X2, but one of the key benefits of the opener is you could open one brand of gate and, say, 2 different brands of garage with one opener ... show more

It. works for my overhead legacy garage door. Push 6 times for 390MHz. Be sure program button is inside controller. The other "button =" is a control button. Both are black. If you have two openers with different frequecies, the remote controller only works one door, not three doors.
