I clicked a little too quick. I thought these were designed to mount to your existing vehicle's roof rails and function as universal cross bars. Instead, this system is designed to work on vehicles with no roof rails at all. It comes with 3 different size clamp arms that are designed to grip the vehicle body and hook into the door opening. I've used ski racks like this in the past with good success. Otherwise it looks nicely made. The legs have rubber foot pads, and additionally some protective material is included to use on whichever mounting arm works best for your car. The aluminum crossbars are slotted so you can use carriage bolts to attach things, or they also provide rubber seals to cover the opening and reduce wind noise. ... show more
