This is GREAT for anyone wanting to get a good work out but doesn't want to spend a fortune and space on a full "gym" or set of weights. EVEN BETTER is this work out is all in a box with a carry bag which makes this kit perfect for the traveler. Never miss a work out. This convenience is also what makes it easy to use this box anywhere. I have used this on my work out bench, living room using my feet to hold the anchor strap, my backyard, anywhere you can place the anchors and you are set. There is door anchor that is placed between the door and the door frame too that helps in that versatility and a strap anchor to be held by your feet or wrapped around a sturdy furniture leg or the like. You can use this with or without the AP. BUT you REALLY NEED THE AP to get the most use of this kit. Without the AP you are just wasting your money, just use the AP it is FREE (i.e. "included" with the box, you just need to download it). The AP is what makes this work out kit ROCK! With the AP > - You can free style your own work out and adjust the "weight" (resistances) from about 4lbs up to 44lbs. - Select a work out zone (upper body, Abs, butt, legs) under "plan" from beginner to advance, a 7 day weight lost program, and you can create custom work out plans too. It has a video showing how to perform the each exercise. - There is a door and a strap anchor included along with a comfortable ankle strap and a pull strap. All good quality and strong straps. Easy to hook them up and switch them out as needed. - The resistances is spot on, I have been using this working a different zone each day (allowing the worked out zone to recoup and rest at least a day) and my muscles are feeling it. The work outs are simple and short (about 20 minutes) to get you started. You can lengthen the work out as you need. - the AP makes working out motivating and fun. Even my 8 year old daughter is jumping into the fun, which brings up the next cool thing.... -The resistance is pre-set per each work out program and exercise, so as you get tired the resistance does not get easier. BUT you can CHANGE the workout level resistance level before you begin. So if work out is too hard or easy just select level and adjust the percentage, so harder for me and easier for my 8 year old but still a good work out for both of us. The AP will remember your last setting. - The video will automatically stop/pause and start with your work out. If you take too long to start the next exercise the video will pause, to restart just pull the cord or push play on the AP and the video and counting will continue. - You can skip or replay an exercise if needed by scrolling and then selecting the next exercise on the work out menu. - Don't want a full work out plan then you can customize your own work out actions from the custom plan tab under the Plan menu. Select an action and then you can edit the action adding weight and/or reps. - The AP will count you reps! No more lost counts or need to count. Overall I would give this 10 stars if possible I am loving this kit! This is a must for anyone wanting to get a good work out. And specially for someone like me that needs a some motivation and simple and effective time efficient work outs. Highly recommend!!! I received one of these devices for free as part of the Amazon Vine program to review. I like it enough that I am buying a second one at full price. I have no relationship to Unitree. In my work as a health and fitness professional, I have to be familiar with all things exercise/training/rehab including equipment. This device is impressive. After using it for a couple weeks, I can tell that a *lot* of thought went into this thing. First off, this device fills a similar niche to portable cable systems like the Ancore, but instead of relying on spring packs that have to be mounted to a rail or post, or bands with imprecise resistance levels, this device uses a simple strap to mount almost anywhere and magnetic resistance to provide different types and levels of resistance. Almost anything you can do with a cable or band, you can do with this, and a little more... To do that, it requires electrical power and an app for control. These limitations are handled very well in this case. The battery life is consistent with the listed cycles per resistance level in the description above. It charges fairly quickly and holds charge when off, and even includes a setting that allows you to *recharge the device by using it* like those dynamo flashlights. Insanely convenient. The app is pretty unobtrusive once connected to the device. It allows for easy and quick adjustment of resistance levels, monitoring battery levels, and adjusting resistance types. The modes are really cool. -Standard mode has the same resistance in and out, similar to using a regular cable machine. -Concentric mode has more resistance on the pull of the cable, less as the cable retracts, similar to a rowing erg. You can adjust up to 50% difference. -Eccentric mode has less resistance on the pull of the cable, and more as the cable retracts, like doing negatives. Again you can adjust up to 50% difference. -Constant mode ... still not sure what it's doing. -Chain mode allows for accommodating resistance, where the further you pull the cable the more resistance you get, simulating chains getting heavier as more chain is lifted off the floor, or the resistance of a band increasing as it stretches. Again, you can adjust parameters. -Generation mode is similar to concentric mode in that you're mainly doing work on the pull, but it can use your energy to recharge the device somewhat. Which is really freaking cool. The resistance is limited to 20kg/44lbs which limits its application somewhat. I'm not going to be able to use this for max effort powerlifts, obviously, but cable/band assistance work absolutely. I could also strap it to my barbell and use it for accommodating resistance like one would use bands or chains. I verified the resistance level at various settings and it was accurate within 1kg according to my dynamometer. An example of thoughtful design: Using a thin strap instead of a round cable, which is mounted above the center of mass in the device. The strap keeps winding inside the device consistent, and the imbalanced mount keeps the unit from spinning and twisting up the strap, both reducing jamming up of the mechanism. Small thing you wouldn't likely notice, but goes a long way in improving usability. The hardware is small, emphasizing the lighter/less explosive use cases it's designed for, so don't go at it like an invincible heavy duty piece of equipment, because it's not. An extension strap and 2 mounting straps are included, along with an ankle strap and cable handle, which should cover most use cases. Get two and you have a pretty decent and very portable cable crossover setup. The app includes a bunch of reference exercises and activities if you need them, so if you need ideas on how to train or use the device, it'll guide you through that as well. Overall, highly recommend this piece for home/portable gym setups where a full cable crossover rig doesn't fit and bands don't quite cut it.

For a very basic workout away from home, it's fairly decent. However, I think it's way overpriced for it's function. The pulling motion is not always super smooth and you may get a "hiccup" as you extend the rope. Using two units is almost a must if you want a better workout but I definitely won't be splurging for it.

I just started using it today after charging the battery. What we have is a device that allows you to change the force needed to pull on a strap coming out of a cube shaped auto tension device . It controlled by an app on your cell phone that allows you to change the force needed to pull on the cord. It’s essentially an electronic version of a rubber band exercise system but instead of rubber bands I think it’s causing the resistance with a flywheel and magnetism, at least that’s my guess. The software keeps track of what you’re doing and hopefully I’ll stick to and see some positive results. I had to figure out what had to be done on my own as I found following the directions to be a bit difficult mainly the print is like what a lawyer puts in a contract they don’t want you to read I wish they had a larger font so it could be readable by someone f who needs glasses. The software is pretty much easy to figure out I haven’t yet figured out how all the attachments are to be used when I can find my magnifying glass I’ll work on it. So for today I was doing arm curls by tying one end of the cube to my foot as an anchor and attaching an included handgrip to the other side of cube. I feel that as I figure out how to exercise different muscles this will be an effective method of home exercise for me and I’m hopeful of good results. One plus it comes with a carry sack so the system can easily be taken with you when traveling so you won’t miss out on your exercise program.
