  • Great Product. Really Works.
I used this product for years until my local pool supply shop closed. While using it, I never had any algae problems. Last year, I could not find Swamp-Treat, so I used another brand. Worst algae problems I ever had. Constantly fighting yellow algae and even worse, could not get rid of the pink algae. Thankfully, I was able to locate Swamp-treat through amazon, and I don't expect any problems this year. ... show more

  • Hey, it worked for me.
Two weeks ago I was looking at 25,000 gallons of dark green, smelly water in my pool. That had never happened to me over the winter. But this year it did. I threw in one pound of Swamp Treat Pool Algae Eliminator and four pounds of shock and two days later the green was gone, and several days after that the water was clear. Of course there was a fair amount of debris to vacuum out along the way. But it worked great for me. I should have taken before and after pictures. Hope the green never returns, but if it does, I now know what to do. ... show more

  • This does not work
This product did not work at all. I used the whole bottle and 48 hours later and there has been no change

  • Maybe Super Chlorination is a better method.
I guess it sorta works. A good youtuber pool guy suggests super chlorination (3X normal for my case) to get rid of the green. That worked for me. I may not have needed this since it was not as effective for pool opening.

  • It works
You don’t get but half a bottle. Luckily it works! I won’t buy again since you get less than half a bottle.

  • Swamp Treat is AWESOME!!!
Went from picture 1 to picture 2 overnight. We went away for a couple weeks and came home to a green pool. I ordered the Swamp Treat and while I waited for it to come, for 3 days I brushed the sides and cleaned the filter everyday with not much improvement.

  • this stuff is awesome!!
Ever since I had my in ground pool opened this year mid-May, I have had problems I never had before. Last year my daughter's dog chewed up the winter cover, and she replaced it with one that was too short. Therefore, we ended up with millions of oak leaves from the neighbors 80' tree adjacent to our yard all through the pool. The pool truly was the epitome of a swamp, so I figured this product would be perfect. Happily, it was! I followed the directions and got up the next morning to find my swampy pool filled with blue water. It killed all of the green algae and caused it to fall to the bottom of the pool. I put it in last Friday and am still vacuuming algae out every day, but I had basically given up on the water being clear this year. I highly recommend this product for a green algae problem. I have seen other reviews complaining that the container comes half full, but it clearly states it is sold by weight, not volume. I used one for my 25,000 gallon pool. ... show more
