The only thing I didn’t like about the shoes I recently bought was that the heels were slippery and made a loud clicking noise. I immediately thought of trying this type of non-slip sticker, but since the soles of my shoes have more texture and unevenness, I was concerned that the adhesive might not stick properly. After a quick search on Amazon, I found this reasonably priced product that comes with a file included, so I decided to purchase it. I lightly filed the entire sole, cut the stickers slightly smaller than the sole with scissors, and applied them. After walking around the house for a while, I found that they not only provided good traction but also seemed to adhere securely. Now I don’t have to return shoes just because the soles are slippery! Bought these to repait the soles on some boots. Followed the directions to clean the area, then rough with the provided sandpaper and apply the pads. They were easy to apply. Had to trim the heel pad to match my boots but no big deal. The sole pad was smaller than my existing sole. The heel adhesion stuck well but the sole one was so-so. It is sticky but will try to peel a little bit. I kind of want to add some super glue to it so it will stay. They do seem to have slip resistance though I wasn't trying to go head over teakettle on purpose to test them. ... show more

Um... what? How are these staying on other people's shoes? Initially, I put them on my shoes, waited a few days, wore them for a 5 min errand. All was well. A few days later, I decided to wear these shoes out for a whole day away from home. I walked half a mile and my shoes started to feel a bit funny. I looked down, and saw the soles slipping off my shoes. Thinking back on all the possible factors, nothing made sense. It wasn't a hot day, I was walking in the shade on concrete, the shoes have not been stored in a cool place out of direct sunlight until I wore it. This was incredibly frustrating because I needed the sole/slip protection and had a whole day ahead of me (can't change shoes). I ended up taking the soles off and throwing them out because they made the bottom of my shoes very sticky so all sorts of things were getting stuck to me as I walked. Most of the positive reviews for this item are from people who put the soles on their shoes but haven't actually walked in it. Now I know to not trust those type of reviews. So the glue sucks. I would consider using adding shoe glue to these, but that is an added expense on top of something that is suppose to come with sufficient adhesive. These are very helpful. I don't like the "clacking" of my soles/heels on tile when I walk the halls at work. I have been buying Clarks and other brands that offer soft soles. But the styles are very limiting. I decided to give these gems a try and I'm so glad I did. They are easy to use. Just peel and stick and cut to size/shape. I have been using them for a while now and have not had problems with them falling or moving or anything. These wonders allow me to wear almost all of my shoes now and I don't clack on the tiles. One suggestion: I bought what I call industrial strength scissors to cut them down to fit perfectly on the heel shape. I am pleased with this as they make everything so easy to do. In fact, sometimes I do my heels at work in my office. Fast and easy. Get you some! ... show more
