Update: its been over 6 months and its still great. I thought I'd share that shortly after my review, I switched to using an aftermarket rj11 to usb-c cord, as I needed more usb ports and switched to a 12v usb adapter (and only one 12v/cigarette lighter port). I've noticed people having issues when switching over to a set-up like this, and they either blame the cable, or the device itself. The first 12v adapter i got, while it was highly rated, it was only 90w. It wasn't enough power to start both my dash cam and radar detector at the same time when I started the car. I'd have to unplug the radar detector, then plug back in, for it to power on. It functioned properly, it was just the initial powering on that was affected. If I left the dash cam unplugged and started the car with only the radar detector plugged in, it powered on as normal. That led me to believe there just wasn't enough power going to it at startup, due to other devices pulling power as well, and I was right. I switched to a 3 port, 230w adapter (from here on amazon, it has 2 usb-c ports, and 1 usb-a port), and its been perfect ever since. No functionality issues whatsoever. For reference, I have this radar detector, dash cam, and a wireless charger plugged into it (usb-a). Hope this update helps!! ---------------------- Great radar detector! Its reliable, durable, can hear it over loud music. I also have my dash cam plugged into the usb port of its power cord, and both devices work perfectly sharing the power source. Only time this radar detector doesn't work is when going thru this one area while on the highway, a certain police unit turns their radars off and clocks people!! 😂😒 There have been SEVERAL times the Ka band was going off and I'm looking like "where is this cop" for what seems like a while, and eventually I see them. Definitely long enough range for a suitable warning!! And it sure does pick up everything: speed cameras, those speed radar signs, traffic light cameras, etc. It's really easy to hit "mute" for these things, and it automatically does a "mute memory" so u don't have to listen to it every time passing the same spot. It is also easy to remove mute memory by hitting "mute" again the next time you pass the same spot. I was actually intimidated by the manual and all the settings at first. However, I've left it on the default "highway" and it's all good. All I ever needed to touch is volume buttons and mute/dim button, which were easy enough to learn just by simply pressing them. And also going into menu to set up wifi/bt if u install the app, which wasn't that bad, just a lot of scrolling to the actual setting. Another note, for first time radar detector users, if you get hit with the "laser," that's not a warning, its a statement. Yep, I got that statement, more than once. I was lucky to be going just 80 the first time, and remembered the area when passing thru again. (Watch out in some areas of GA!) I live in FL and travel the entire southeast for work, so far I've only seen "laser" on I-475 (I think it was). Hope this helps!

This is an outstanding radar detector. The built in GPS enables it to auto-mute locations that emit false signals after you drive by them about 3-4 times. Such a great feature since I take the same route to work and back every day. Over the air firmware update works great. Probably one of the best detectors you can buy for the cost. I put my route to/from work into AI and it told me how to customize settings for the radar used by the different departments that monitor roads on the routes I take, to minimize false alarms. Highly recommend this detector.

Best non-arrow detector in the market. Easy to used you can literally plug and play it or you can tweak it to fine tune it to your liking. It has 2 mounting but you can but a rearview mount if you like. It can give you a warning 3 miles away from the source so if you as me if it's a good buy it is 100% good buy.

Keeps me aware of cops around, I love the customization and mounting options, I ended up getting a mirror tap for powering it up, works very well for what it is, it has a few false alerts for k band but it’s pretty easy to mute the false alerts via the GPS mute memory function, but ka band gives me very advanced notice, so far got a radar blip a mile or so away

Great detector. Long range and highly customizable through the app. Love the mute capability, both manual and auto. Only downside isn't directional, but you can pay more for that if that's important to you. Best thing about a radar detector is it constantly makes you aware how fast you are going. I didn't buy it to be able to speed, I bought it to keep me from getting tickets when I'm going faster than I should. Definitely does that.

Outstanding! Detects law enforcement long before I see them (and they see me). I use it in conjunction with the HighwayRadar app. They are nearly symbiotic and are a real powerhouse when used together. Out performs the competitor’s $800 offering at less than half the price; proven in controlled tests. On par with the Uniden R8W. Blendmount is the best mount for a C8 Corvette. I’m a responsible driver. I like the situational awareness. Always fun to watch the really crazy jerks on the interstate fly into a speed trap after they try to run you off the road.
