Been using these pens exclusively for 20 years. That 1.0mm point combined with the blue gel ink make this pen guides across the paper. Gives bold lines making print easier for my old eyes to read. Super comfortable feel in hand. Long ink life(keep the cap on when not use). Don't believe those bitchy - whiney reviews. Those folks are just looking for something to complain about. One thing I have learned about these particular pens is if you do happen to drop it and it does land point down. Toss that one and grab a fresh one (ruins the tip, will skip and drag). i swear by these bold ink pens, they are the smoothest to write with and most comfortable to hold of anything out there. They do use a lot of ink so be prepared to replace them more frequently than the standard pen, but the trade off is you have a really nice writing experience so don't fret about going through more pens.....that is what happens when you use a bold ink pen, they just use more ink, so be it. The bold lines this makes, and the super-smooth rolling of the ink ball, is NOTHING like the scratchy thin writing of most other pens. Buy a box and you'll see. Is it worth the extra money? As a pen enthusiast, I have a certain fondness for a particular gel pen that writes incredibly evenly and has a bold stroke. I cannot recall where I first stumbled upon this pen, but once I discovered it, there was no going back. In fact, I have become so attached to this pen that I have set up an Amazon autoship to ensure I never run out of them. Despite being on the pricier side, I am more than willing to pay the cost, as these pens are worth every penny in my opinion.
