Usually Bic is a brand that I scoff at, but I bought this set on a whim because it was on sale (I believe I paid around 40 cents per pen), and you can never have too many pens. No doubt, the pen feels cheap. The ink barrel isn't completely fastened to the body of the pen and you can hear the shaking noise when you write with it. The pen is rather light and had none of the luxurious feelings that you get when you write with a proper pen. That being said, the quality itself is surprisingly good. The colors are bright and unique (14 colors, 3 pens each) and it writes very well with an occasional skip (but it fixes itself before you get annoyed). For this price point, I feel that the pen delivers more than it promised, and I would recommend it. Edit: after using these pens for a bit, I have one more thing to add. The ink really doesn't last very long. You can almost see the ink level go down while using this pen, and with my level of usage I'd go through one pen in less than a week (other gel pens usually last about two weeks or so). So if you're paying more than 70-80 cents a pen, consider buying a better pen, it might be worth it in the long run. I still like it though! ... show more

LOVE the smooth flow of these pens, and the color range is great. But I’m apparently unable to read and I thought there were 40+ colors, but it was just 3 of the same packs. Still, glad I got them, just wish they had even more ink colors!

These pens are SOO nice!!! I was looking for some nice classic gel pens to spruce up my notes for school, and after shopping around for a while I decided these were the best value. Boy is that an understatement!!!!!!!! The variety is great (none of the colors are too similar to each other so they all serve a purpose), they function beautifully, and write extremely smoothly. I don’t even like writing in pen usually because it just doesn’t feel as nice as pencil to me, but these pens are a game changer. They are so pleasant to write with and did I mention…..THEY DON’T SMUDGE AT ALL!!!! Do yourself a favor and buy them. There’s absolutely no need to spend more. ... show more
