Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love, love, love this bunk bed! DEFINITELY need 2 people to build it. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and all parts were there including hardware. Feels really sturdy and is very cute! It doesn't take up too much room in an already small room. The picture was before I had a mattress for the bottom bunk but now that I do both girls love sleeping in there. My youngest (2yrs old) is on the bottom and I don't have to worry at all about falling out because it's low to the ground! I really have no complaints. I have gotten many many compliments! The bed is pretty sturdy we’ve had it for a while now and it’s holding up my kids are a little rough so I didn’t expect too much from it but surprisingly it’s still standing it’s low enough that I don’t have to worry about them falling off so if that’s your concern it’s certainly checks that box for younger kids ... show more

Bought this for my nephews bedroom at my house and while it doesn’t receive regular use, it’s been great! Much sturdier than I expected. I’ve been in the top bunk to make the bed and get out toys, and it didn’t feel sketch. I’ve slept in the bottom bunk plenty of times. Putting the slat ends together is reallllly hard with one person so you’ll need 2 people for that but otherwise I assembled it myself quite easily! I did opt for a 5 inch foam mattress on the top so the rail is higher. ... show more

I've given time for these to be used before reviewing. As for putting it together, my husband always hates other people's instructions - says an engineer clearly wrote them, because he is a mechanic (if you know, you know). We got 2 sets for "the bunk room". Put one together mirrored so the ladders were together - out of necessity for the bedroom layout. One seems to have loosened over time, but he retightened it and braced it against the wall (it was the original one, we waited a few months before buying a second set, and even longer to review). He also put some additional rollover protection for both top beds because once you put a mattress in there, there's nothing much stopping a kid from rolling to the floor in a parkour dream. They look good, all 4 of my kids 13 through 1 can easily get in and out of the beds, and even a full grown adult can get on top to fix the bedsheets and hug a kiddo goodnight.
