  • WOrks as Expected with NO issues what so ever.
Pattern Name: PRO Size: 500 ft
This system is great and very easy to install. Have had the system for over a year now and did recently have an issue with the collar. I called customer service and hands down instantly said they would be shipping a new one. No questions asked! great customer service!!!

  • Great bundle for the cost and Excellent Customer Service!
Pattern Name: PRO Size: 500 ft
My wife and I were in the market for an electric fence system to compliment our existing aluminum, spoke type fence since our smallest dog can fit through the bars. This bundle was among the most highly rated systems I've been reading about. And, due to the efficient, compact size of the collar coupled with sensitivity adjustments (one of which is a sound only warning), it may be one of the only products that will work for our 8-9 pound Yorkie Maltese. All parts of the system were bundled together in a clean efficient manner and arrived less than 2 days from the point I placed my order! To further my support for their customer service, upon receiving the delivery from Amazon (within which was their box with the bundle), I discovered some small parts had been lost in transit when it was forwarded through Amazon. I quickly called the support line for Consumers Supplies Direct (and Flexpet) and was greeted by very friendly individuals who were apologetic for the inconvenience (even though it was likely not due to their shipment) and more than happy to help us replace the parts. I'm looking forward to the start up and peace of mind that will come with this system being able to contain our small dog (given that our big dogs have had a regular fence the last 3 years). But, no product is perfect and fool proof. Part of the quality that you hope to receive with it is the customer service if you ever have issues or just questions. Their support gets an A+++ from us. We appreciate the help so far, and will certainly look towards them in the future if/when we expand our new system to incorporate changes to our backyard (ex.. a pond or garden boxes) or add another dog who needs a collar. In the event we move and need to buy a new system, I'll certainly be giving them a call. ... show more

  • Easy to install, collar is horrible.
Pattern Name: PRO Size: 500 ft
I upgraded to heavier wire and was pleased with how it installed. I installed 500 ft. I recommend using a chainsaw with an old chain to cut the slit. I then stretched the wire across and pushed it down with a large screw driver. After about 10ft I closed the slit with a mallet. The item description was misleading to me, but this system is capable of very large barriers 30ft+ to very small ones of 2ft. I currently have a 7ft barrier and thankfully my neighbors let me install on their property so that pup doesn’t get corrected inside our home (town). I was happy with the simplicity of install. Plan ahead, I didn’t need the twisted wire. In regards to the landscaping staples. Yes they do rust people, but even rusted they work for many years.. by then the grass should cover your wire. I bought more flags at Walmart too. The collar sucks. It’s red, and has holes punched in it for the receiver. Which means you pretty much have to use this collar or find/fabricate one with holes. It has no leash loop which surprises me because you need a leash at first to train.. if you live in town like I do. It also doesn’t have an excess buckle.. so the excess nylon just flops around. I cut some off but it still makes my chocolate hunting lab look like a sissy. It also was missing some of the connectors and tester. I ended up putting electric tape around them to train my dog to respect the “beep” first. I would suggest to the company to have a clamp on receiver so other collars can be used. Correction level: I was worried I didn’t have enough for my 7 month old 80lb bruiser. 1, 2 just made him scratch his collar. 3 got his attention but he’d still blow though the barrier. 4 is working so far and we still have 5 in our back pocket. 6, 7, 8 are just progressive variations of the first 5. Make sure when setting flags to hold the collar at the correct height. This changes the range a foot or so. All in all I like it. It was easy to install, and it’s working. I’m going to see about getting a different collar. That’s the only thing withholding the 5th star. ... show more

  • Amazing Customer Service and product works great so far, perfect for even a smaller dog (17pounds)
Pattern Name: PRO Size: 500 ft
I had to come write a review because the company and service exceeded my expectations!!! First, this product has worked great for our pup who began running out of the yard, learned to scale a rock wall to get out, and was almost hit by a car on her last bolting escape. We've never had a dog so fast and interested in chasing things. She has also been deemed a "hard correction" dog by a police K9 trainer, where "NO!" and verbal commands don't work with her. So we were worried about how to keep her safe in our yard. I am pleased to say we haven't even had to go above the "beep only" level yet, and she learned her boundaries within 2 days! Yes she is a little timid still, but that is a much better situation that her chasing bicycles, dogs, or humans down the road. The best part? the customer service!!! We couldn't figure out for sure what we were programming wrong and how to set the level on the collar, so I called the 800 number. Straight to a person! on a weekend! after 12 noon!!!! And the most patient, helpful woman ...who didn't laugh too hard when i managed to shock myself because we had, in fact, set it at a level 5 on accident. oops! I recommend this product to EVERY dog owner. It has been a wonderful training tool that has changed the quality of our day to day and kept our 1 year old pup safe ... show more

  • Happy Booger/Happy Owners...Great system and Company to work with Happy Booger/Happy Owners...Great system and Company to work with
Pattern Name: PRO Size: 500 ft
We purchased this fencing system this winter. It was fast and easy to install. We have an a year and a half old Airedale who is very energetic, our property is bordered on one side by a creek and the other side by a road. We live in a canyon and across the road is a hillside with deer, coyotes, feral cats etc. inhabiting it, all extremely enticing to an Airedale. He has not tried to leave the yard since we installed the fencing system in a double loop at the top border of our property. He was easy to train following the directions. We did have a small issue upon installation with the surge protector but the company had a new one out to us in a short amount of time. Great company to deal with. This fencing system has made our lives much less stressful. Booger is a lot happier being able to roam on two acres while we are at work instead of being locked in a kennel. ... show more

  • Serious flaws after the one year mark, read before you buy. Serious flaws after the one year mark, read before you buy.
Pattern Name: PRO Size: 500 ft
TL;DR "Be very very very gentle when tightening the casing after inserting batteries into the unit. Again, the plastic is extremely weak and any cracks will essentially guarantee the death of your expensive device. Despite the device being waterproof, it cracks very easily, and once cracked moisture will seep in and kill this unit. Warranty is limited, after 1 year, expect to pay a minimum of $75 for a receiver replacement. Full Summary: I've owned this product for a little over a year and I'll be explaining what I like about it, but more importantly, some of its downfalls and what you can/should do to make the most of this product if you absolutely have to buy it. I will say from experience, the majority of the package works as intended. That being the digital transmitter, which you have to keep inside or get a weather box, the boundary wires, and the twisted wire (which I have not used, mind you), but I assume it will work well as it seems to be made of good quality. Just an FYI, the warranty does not cover the wires, so I am thankful I have not had any issues with the black boundary wire yet. Where this product starts to show it's weakness is in the "Waterproof Active collar. Honestly, all the pitfalls really stem from here. Let's start off by listing some of its features, it is listed to be submersible to 10 feet; however, I would not test this due to some build quality issues, and warranty issues I'll get to later on. They do come with a set of rubber comfort covers that are included for comfort, but they do wear pretty fast and you have to replace them. I highly recommend the comfort covers, as I initially put them on my dog without them and he started to get a nasty burn on his neck. The same happened with my other dog, so I know this was not an isolated incident. It's true, the collar/receiver is very light and is listed to weight only 1.1 Ounce, it almost feels hollow. It takes a proprietary 6v battery, which is listed to last around 4 months if your dog knows not to get close to the boundary. Let's quickly go over that again. • Proprietary battery • Not really optional covers • "waterproof" here is where we get to the biggest problem of all. The blue plastic casing of this receiver is very cheaply made As many others have pointed out in the reviews, it will crack. It is not a matter of if, but when it cracks. Remember, even if you bought the version with a 10 year warranty, it is a limited warranty. This means if the product cracks due to a defect you can get a free exchange within the 1st year. After the 1st year, you still have to pay a whopping $75 out of pocket. I feel like the description should mention that, or their website at least, it feels a little misleading… When not if, the casing starts to crack it will no longer be waterproof. Rust can and will get inside and stop the product from working. I live in Southern California and it has only rained I want to say a maximum of 5 times where I have lived within the last year, yet this product only started to malfunction a month or so ago. So I am guessing normal moisture in the morning damaged the product from inside once the product cracked. They really push the waterproof feature, so they want you to get it wet, which will most likely hurt the unit once it is cracked (inevitable, especially after a year). You may by now have realized the overall problem with this receiver… it is meant a perpetual money sink after you have bought the original product, like buying ink for a printer. Only in this case you are paying such a high premium for the product… you shouldn't have to continue to sink more money, but you do. The collar is built to break and if you get it replaced before the warranty.. (use that information as you please). Then they still expect you to spend $$$ on the proprietary battery and the not so optional rubber covers. Unfortunately, most of these good reviews are most likely within the first year where no issues occur and if they do, they get a replacement free of charge, which sadly does not paint an accurate picture of the real cost of this product over the long run, regardless of what type of warranty you have with it. Lucky, If you already bought the product or you're in a niche situation like me where this product is a necessary evil, here are some solutions I have found that can help you circumvent some of these issues. #1 You do not need to buy proprietary batteries. You can search the comments or do your own research, I wouldn't want this review to be taken down for recommending another product. In short, you can stack the generic version, tape em up, and put them in the receiver and they work splendidly. Sure they may last slightly less time than the proprietary one, but they are a fraction of the cost and are still marginally more bang for your buck, seriously. #2After training most dogs eventually learn to stay away from the wire just by hearing the noise, Which means you don't need to replace the black soft covers on the prongs after they stop conducting, as the sound itself will keep your dog away. You can just loosen the collar as well. Amazon actually sells some aftermarket tips in packs at almost half the price of a single one if you were to buy direct from these guys. #3 Be very very very gentle when tightening the casing after inserting batteries into the unit. Again, the plastic is extremely weak and any cracks will essentially guarantee the death of your expensive device. You may even want to put a thin strip of tape around the casing to further protect it from water/environment. It's quite easy to remove with scissors and it's only someone you will have to do every few months. Bonus for #3 This receiver is confirmed to receive the following frequencies 7khz & 4 kHz, which means you may be able to use an aftermarket receiver as a backup or replacement. Amazon does over free returns so you can just test a variety of them out, and if they don't work you can return them free of charge. This is a must if you are over your 1-year warranty. I am currently looking into this. Summary: Would have been a solid A+ product; however, the weakest link brings it all down. The collar/receiver, it's a huge money sink, and the 10-year limited warranty is a joke and borderline false advertising, mind you the only thing it really covers after a year is the Digital Transmitter and receiver, and again you will be paying a minimum of 75$ for the receiver with this limited "warranty." I have no idea how much you would have to pay for the Digital transmitter, as it is not sold individually, and can only be obtained with one of the packs/kits. So who knows how much they will have you pay for it under your "warranty." Update: instead of the 1-2 days replacement came on about a week later. No collar included, just the transmitter. You also have to pay out of pocket to return ship back the transmitter. They still have not included an invoice. ... show more

  • Great product and great customer service.
Pattern Name: PRO Size: 500 ft
After much research, my wife and i decided on extreme fence for the latest addition to our household. I don't regret it at all. Extreme fence comes with amazing wire. My cousin who was helping me install the fence after using a different brand was amazed at the thickness of the wire. The system was so easy to install. We just used an edger to make the trench for the wire and then ran it in a crack across the driveway. It didn't take our 6 month old hyperactive lab puppy long to respect the training flags and the artificial border they created. The instructions extreme fence gives for training are fresh. The only issue I've run into is a prong broke off after only a couple months of use when i was switching out the prongs for the first time. One chat with the company through their website and they were sending me a new collar. What incredible customer service. I couldn't ask for more. Great products and great customer service. What else could you want when buying something to protect your pets. ... show more

  • It works but cable could be stronger.
Pattern Name: PRO Size: 500 ft
First the product works great and so far is keeping my puppy contain but he did crosses 3 times so I have to keep adjusting. Couple advises on installation: 1) you have to read the instruction as this is not the best instruction. 2) layout the cable loosely when you plan out the yard because as you bury the cable, they actually tighten up so if you don’t lay out loosely, you will have to readjust your layout. 3) make sure you bury the cable before you or someone cut the grass. My grass wasn’t supposed to be cut until Thursday but my neighbor had their cut on Wednesday and they ran over the cable and it cut into two. It took me about 6 hours to do 500ft all by myself. I had a minor issue and called tech support but it was after hour, I left a voicemail but never receive a call back so I said the tech support / customer service is bad if you can’t call your customer back. ... show more
