I've ordered mattresses from Amazon before, so I'm familiar with the "mattress in a box" concept, and this was no surprise but it's still cool to me how you can order a mattress online and in comes in a 1ft x 1ft x 6ft box and an entire hybrid bed rolls out, springs and all. This mattress has been a huge upgrade from my old Queen size literally and figuratively. It arrived tightly rolled and vacuum-sealed, and within a few hours of opening, it expanded fully and evenly with no weird chemical smell. Setup was easy; just unbox, unroll, and let it breathe for a bit. We let ours sit for a day and overnight just to be sure. The comfort level is exactly what I was hoping for, a true medium-firm that offers great support without feeling hard. This is a very comfortable mattress, maybe even a bit softer than I was initially hoping for, but it's still very supportive. The individually pocketed springs make a big difference in motion isolation; I can roll over or get out of bed without disturbing my partner much. It’s supportive where it needs to be (especially around the lower back and hips), but still has that soft, plush feel on top that makes it really comfortable for sleeping on your side or back. I prefer a hybrid like this because it doesn’t trap heat like some memory foam mattresses do, but one problem with all mattress-in-a-box is the edge support is lacking. You kind of slide off the ends of the bed. Such is the nature of these beds, they are all weak around the corners and edges. The build quality feels solid and durable, but unfortunately we could NOT use this with a modern platform bed. We had to use box springs, which thankfully we already had, but I don't like being up that high. It's unfortunate, but my partner prefers it, so up in the air we remain! Overall, this mattress is a great value for the price. It’s supportive, comfortable, and clearly well-made.. If you’re looking for a cheaper king-size mattress that strikes the right balance between firm and plush and still feels premium, this one definitely delivers for the price. It's amazing how far bed technology has come.

nowhere near 12 inches expanded. So far pretty comfortable but definitely not as advertised. Dont want to go thru all the BS of returning it. but it is 100% not as advertised. i get it that it is inexpensive but if I wanted an 8 inch mattress I would have ordered an 8 inch mattress.
