The helmet has vents which can be opened or closed if you are hot or cold. Its very comfortable to wear all day long and the ear pads keep your ears nice and warm. One of my ear pads does pop out sometimes when you take it off or put it on, but when its being worn it was never an issue.

The helmet is well built, is comfortable but the ear pads kept giving me issues. The ear pads clip into the helmet but I couldn't get them to stay connected so they didn't stay in position. Might have to glue them in place.

I returned this helmet because it does not have any way to insert the helmet headphones I use into the ear pads. Otherwise it felt really comfortable and looked nice.

I need a helmet to protect me on skis. The size is perfect and fits my head perfectly without too much play to cause wobble. Fit really well and was comfortable and warm. However the ear clips did not clip into place and were a hassle to deal with. Returned because of that. Update:: ear clips need to be forcefully pushed in and then they stay just fine! Ended up keeping these after figuring that out.

I wore this helmet 5 times and it was very comfortable and warm. It also has great ventilation. Only fifth day with it I got tangled up with another skier and a full on yard sale crash. I landed head first bounced and landed on my head again. I am convinced that I would not have left the mountain under my own power without that helmet. I will be ordering a new one asap as I am sure I have totaled that one. ... show more

    • Not as good as comparably priced models
I bought this product and the wildhorn drift at the same time to compare. Yes, this one is MIPS and the wildhorn is not. However, MIPS is just a proprietary thing and I’m sure a company like wildhorn has probably reverse engineered something just as protective. The wildhorn and the outdoor master were the same price but the wildhorn fit and finish feels much more expensive. It’s lighter and has a smaller form factor. Also, the ear pads hug your face and ears a little more but they still leave room for AirPods and won’t hurt after a long day on the mountain. The outdoor master left about 1/2” of space between my ears and the inside of the ear pads. Everything about the helmet feels oversized. The goggle strap on the wildhorn is a standard rubberized strap that snaps in. The outdoor master is an embarrassingly cheap plastic clip with a bungee strap. I don’t see that lasting more than a few trips to the local ski hill. Do not recommend. ... show more

Helmet is very comfortable and warm but not hot. Vents work very well. The ear pieces take a bit of force to put in but once you look at them and push into the exact location, it works fine. Goggles also fit well. I was worried about my old ones which were quite large but they work well. I bet just about every one will work with this helmet. ... show more
