I don’t have a hernia (as far as I’m aware), but I do have chronic back pain. Many of the braces I’ve tried for back pain put pressure on my abdomen and cause quite a bit of discomfort, so I was hoping that this could distribute the pressure more evenly. As a plus-size person, it's hard to find things like this that are big enough, so I’m glad this came in an XXL. So far, so good. I like how this fits, even though I have to lay on my back when I put it on or take it off (to lift my belly and just to get everything generally in the right place). The material is soft enough to not irritate my skin, but I usually wear it over my clothing anyway. I also like the width, it covers most of my torso (but I also have a pretty short torso for my height (5’7”). If you are taller or have a long torso, then this might not give you enough coverage. I took off one star because it doesn’t like to stay put the best, but that seems to be a common issue with a lot of these types of supports. Overall, I recommend this product. It’s not perfect, but it's very nice.

The first thing I need to say is that I'm using this belt for pain in my lower stomach/intestines (not an umbilical hernia). I've had an issue in that area for a few years, and I discovered that if I wrap a wide, flexible band tightly around the area, it provides a lot of support in front, and the pain is considerably abated. This belt is perfect for my issue, in all aspects. It attaches around your waist with velcro in the front, and once that's fastened, there are wide elastic arms on each side that also attach with velcro on top of the base, so you can adjust it to as tight a fit as you want. The velcro holds firm, so you don't have to constantly readjust it. And the design (velcro around the main part to ) The elastic overall is tight enough to hug you exactly the way you need, and loose enough to let you breathe without constraint.

I recently had hernia repair surgery. I purchased several items to wear during recovery. I selected this abdominal binder because it’s similar to what we used to provide postop for patients and recommend that they wear until their postop visit. The quality is good. The Velcro is strong and sturdy. It appears that it would provide ample support for someone with a short trunk. Unfortunately, I have a longer trunk and this didn’t fit me width wise. It was too short to feel like it completely covered & supported my surgical area. I think it was supposed to cover 9 inches and mine measures 8inches, but I no longer see the width measurements on the product description page…

I ordered this because the belly support bands for post-cesarean surgery don’t come in large enough sizes. This one does fit true to size, plus is very adjustable for comfort! I plan to wear over a light shirt, under a jacket, because it isn’t attractive, but it definitely will offer core support and help keep the incision supported.

This review is for the COMFYTHERA brand Umbilical Hernia Belt Turns out this is basically a back brace, and it works well as one. The combination of velcro and elastic allows it a great deal of flexibility in how it can be adjusted, and the inserts at the back help it do its job. With the way it’s designed, it stays in place well so long as it’s properly placed and adjusted, otherwise it shifts with most movement and if you’re going to wear it all day or just move a lot, you’ll probably be adjusting it quite often if you can’t get it set right. This support is suitable for exercise, but probably not for working all day at a physical job.

This support is actually really high quality. Most don't have any structure to them but the structural supports in this are very strong. I love that this has a main velcro area across the abdomen along with additional elastic/velcro to further secure it. It is comfortable to move around and breath in ( NOT A WAIST TRAINER ) and it's a good reminder for me to bend with my knees and not my back. Even as a reminder this was totally worth it but it does provide much needed relief as well. Very happy with this one. 10/10 on quality and support. I might update this later on if it does fall apart after months of use ( some older models from a different brand didn't have the extra support and they end up getting stretched out or warped. )
