This ankle brace does the job. It helps with stability in the ankle. I play volleyball and sprained my ankle awhile ago. Tried these on and honestly, it felt so comfortable! Until a while after, the top part started hurting my bone and it felt super uncomfortable (only at the top of my ankle where the bone is located). I honestly think these really need a lot of time to be broken into since it is pretty stiff. If you do buy these, remember to wear long ankle socks! I do recommend this product if you are looking for stability in the ankle but I wouldn’t recommend it since it didn’t fit my volleyball shoe that well. We have purchased 3 pairs of ankle braces for various athletic members of our family. The ones purchased a few years ago were great quality and durable. The one we just purchased recently this year were terrible. Significantly cheaper quality. One brace has already cracked at the bottom.

I have partial left sided weakness due to a brain aneurism at 19 years old. 21 years later, I have tried MANY different braces to keep that left ankle supported from rolling in. Good, hard braces are cumbersome, so I knew that going in and have shoes that are a full size larger in a wide width for a brace. I love that this one came in white and that it doesn't go up mid calf. It's not as "showy" as my others and still offers enough support that I was able to walk 45k steps at Disney in two days and be okay. I also like the fact that it doesn't tie, the straps are velcro. That is probably more personal preference for me as I have a paralyzed hand and finally don't have to have my hubby help get me all braced up! Like others said, there is a break in period as the brace forms around your ankles but I just made sure to wear it to the gym several times before our big trip and it was fine. 5 stars from someone who only leaves a review if something really exceeds or extremely disappoints.
