Just so everyone knows, all bed bug protectors are this vinyl material. Some are only slightly softer, though after buying many $45 + and this one, they are essentially the same. If it is laboratory tested, that is what matters. The one I got for $45 had a stuck zipper and reviews of ripping as well. This is an amazing deal for a standard quality product! Also, getting this only will NOT stop bed bugs. Bed bugs live in the cracks of walls, in furniture, in the carpet. A mattress cover will protect your mattress where there is the largest concentration, but you will need to treat the walls and surrounding areas. Do NOT take cover off for a year as bed bugs can live 10 months without a blood meal. If you think you may have bed bugs, do not delay in treating all areas. You will most likely need a professional. Purchased the zippered mattress who was having problems with bed bugs. She reported that beginning with the first night she slept on it, the bed bug problem disappeared. I also purchased some bed bug spray and I guess a combination of both products alleviated the issue she was having. I waited for her results to see if I should purchase one, although I have not had any issues and now I know where to go for a zippered cover which might be a good idea even if you do not have that problem. The Protector came on time, as described. It was very easy to put on, I was able to put it on a Queen Size Bed by myself!
