I get terrible night sweats to where I have to sleep on an air mattress because I ruined my mattress by accident. I was hopeful because I tested this with water and it was actually waterproof! But my body heat and sweat must have created condensation or something underneith because I still woke up with a damp air mattress :( . Unfortunate but I suppose if you’re just using it to protect your mattress from spills it will work just fine. It’s comfy and pretty soft with a waterproof plastic like layer underneath. It feels well made.

I recently purchased this to create a barrier for my mattress when I do Nuru massages. During that particular massage, An abundance of thick and super slippery gel is used. So much in fact, that It has to have a waterproof or easy clean wipable surface to be performed on. and Nuru gel during massages. Overall, it has served its purpose excellently, providing a soft and protective layer - - - -The fabric is remarkably soft and comfortable, making it versatile enough to use as a fitted sheet in a pinch. Its waterproof nature has been a lifesaver, successfully preventing any damage to my mattress. - - - -However, my enthusiasm took a hit when it came time to clean the protector. Initially attempting to hand wash proved challenging, leading me to opt for the washing machine. Here's where things got a bit tricky. - - - -I first made the mistake of washing it with my other bedding. The waterproof feature, while effective, acted as a balloon during the wash, trapping water and laundry inside. This forced me to separate it from the rest of the laundry, rewash it, and run the other items through an additional cycle to remove excess water. - - - -Washing it alone solved this problem, but it remained difficult to get rid of all the excess water and remove the little pockets it created in the washer before transitioning to the dryer. The drying process also took longer than expected, even on medium heat. - - - -In conclusion, the Waterproof Polyester Deep Pocket Mattress Protector Cover excels in its protective capabilities and comfort. However, be prepared for a bit of a hassle when it comes to cleaning. Washing it separately is essential to avoid complications, and patience is required to ensure it dries thoroughly. Despite the cleaning challenges, I still find it a valuable investment.

I wash the sheets by themselves and hang dry them. One I bought in January and it's already damaged and no longer waterproof. The water proof barrier is cracked. My first one I bought is still good and so is my third. So it must be a defect in just the one. Check for cracks or wear and tear before each use to ensure its waterproof. Yes I would but again. They are soft and they do work. Do not dry on high heat. That will destroy any waterproof sheet or pillow case.
