I've been testing a few lamps around this price point and this is probably my favorite as a desk lamp to hover over my monitor. Some things that I really like are: - The sturdy base and stiff neck. The light is not going to bobble around much when the desk is bumped into - 5 different color temperature options to choose from - The ball head on the lamp allows me to easily pivot the direction of the light. Things I don't like: - The controls are on the wire. I would prefer the controls to be on the lamp head or the ability to have the controls reside on the desk. - The stiff, non-flexing portion of the neck is a little too tall. I've seen other lamps that put the stiff portion into sections, allowing you to make it as tall or as short as you need. The height limits the places that I can mount the lamp. ... show more

This is a great space saver as it takes up no room at all on the surface of my desktop. I was excited about the different brightness and warmth levels to match existing lighting at my desk. (My OCD is grateful for that!) There was a little bit of a rough start. The brightest setting would actually go dimmer then brighter when plugged into several different ports on my monitor. Attempted to use an AC adapter instead - BAD IDEA. I would not recommended this. The plug got so hot that the lamp would shut down. Finally I plugged it directly into my computer and it worked as described. Super easy to assemble and install. Comes with cord clips and Velcro ties to keep things tidy. I needed a new lamp for my various art projects. My desk doesn't have an edge to clamp onto, so I used a side shelf, which makes the lamp head appear to be shorter than it actually is. I have very sensitive eyes and this lamp is plenty bright, just being at medium strength perfectly in between the yellow and blue modes, and the angle is absolutely perfect. It doesn't shine into your eyes and its head swivels every which way possible. The velcro cord keepers are a nice touch. An unexpected bonus: my hooks fit exactly over its horizontal top to safely my drying painted gourds! ... show more

Very nice desk lamp. Works as advertised. Be aware that when the USB power is turned off and turned back on the lamp will not come on until the button on the power cord is pushed. In my setup it having the light come back on when the USB power is turned on would make this lamp PERFECT.

Perfect light for scale modeling. Needed to find one that wasn’t articulating after moving my desk. The temperature changes are nice when working at night when a warmer color is better for the eyes. Only gripe is the wire will need more holders to make it more appealing which is only a personal preference. ... show more

The ULTEM Led Desk Lamp for Home Office 12 watt $19.97 Dec 25th 2022. The USB cord runs from the top of the gooseneck on the light and will just hang from the top of the light to the desk so you have to secure the wire from the light, down the gooseneck with wire ties or two supplied velcro straps. It would be much better if the wire ran through the tube so you didn't see the wire on the outside of the metal and the gooseneck. LED is bright but could be a little brighter. It is worth 15 Dollars Max, that includes tax. No plug in wall adapter just use a USB cord attached to the light. Not thrilled and no WOW Factor. Not very giftable, it's just ok. Think im ready to go back to store shopping and get retail packaging for better giftability. They make a ton of money selling on amazon and wrap your gifts in plastic bags or plain cardboard boxes which has no giftability.. this came a in a lite cardboard box not retail packaging. I give it a 3.5 stars max. I will keep you posted since this is the first day using it. ... show more
