I had a light like this in the past and it included a bunch of lights becoming complicated and it was much shorter in stature so it didn't reach far with light so this lamp is much better and can stand off to the side and my 6 year old daughter can have an easy time turn it on in the morning. This standing floor lamp sits right next to by bed so I can read comfortably at night. It is was easy to install, stable, and stylish. Very durable, made of high quality steel and plastic. This lamp has multiple light modes that ranges from a cold light to warm light. I like to use the warmer lights modes when reading because it doesn’t strain my eyes, it seems gentle. Nice lamp for a corner. The warm dim setting is very soothing. The high setting is surprisingly bright. Took one star off because the remote is not intuitive. You'll have to play around with it to get what you want.

Not as bright as advertised. You can only control by remote which can be inconvenient. If you unplug it, you have to reprogram it to desired settings. Overpriced.

I’ve enjoyed this product for almost one year, I have it in my office and it gets used for approximately 40 hours a week while I’m there. Unfortunately about 3 weeks ago, it began acting faulty. It seems like there may be some wiring issue that causes the lamp to change its color on its own at any given moment. It frequently changes to “cool” toned lighting and I have to change it back with the remote. Sometimes it instantly changes back, other times it will stay on my preferred “warm” tone for a couple of hours before suddenly changing back. I tried changing the outlet it’s in and making sure no wires are kinked up, loose or exposed but it seems beyond fixable without a repair of some sort, which is unfortunate because the product itself is sleek, nice and easy to use. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This thing has been wonderful. Much skinnier than I expected. (Not complaining) The one downside if that it cannot be adjusted without the remote. If the description makes it seem as though you can control the lamp without the remote, it's wrong. I've tried everything.
