I was a bit skeptical about this but when I got it i fell in love with the lamp. It is very use to the app, I use it at night when I am going to bed. When I am done playing on my phone, I just have to double tap the lamp it shuts off. The settings for color and brightness are so easy to use as well. Personally, I think it worth the price. This lamp is great! I was worried it wouldn't be bright enough as a bedside lamp, but not so. I love the color changing options and that it's dimmable. I like it so much, it just stays on all day. I just change the color depending on my mood. Only a few flaws: 1) The tap on/off feature isn't that touch sensitive, so I have to heavily palm the head of the lamp which is hit or miss, at best (or unplug to shut off). If you can't connect to bluetooth or wifi, you can't manually shut it off. 2) The plug is a bit wonky, and I've accidentally popped it out of the socket a few times getting out of bed potentially. Sticker on the lamp told me to refer to the manual for instructions. No manual was included in the box. I found some instructions online, and downloaded the Gosund App to pair the lamp with Alexa. To my surprise, even though it is explicitly written on Amazon and all over the lamp box, the FAQ on the app said the lamp is unable to pair with Alexa. The only reason I bought this lamp was because I wanted to pair it and make it part of my Alexa routines. I added a screenshot of the FAQ answer where it says I have to buy another bluetooth product in order to pair with Alexa. I have never left amazon reviews before but I feel cheated and wanted to warn others before they buy this for their Alexa. ... show more

The light works. But it’s too difficult to operate without actual buttons. I bought this as a bedside light for my truck camper. If I need to pick up the light and move it on my night stand, it may turn off, change colors, or change brightness levels. Everything is touch sensitive. UPDATE: I’ve had it for only a month and the light ha started to randomly brighten, darken, or change colors on its own. One night it randomly started flashing red. Freaked me out. I wouldn’t recommend buying as bedside lamps. Pros: Good, affordable lamp. Easy to adjust color and brightness. Cons: Must be plugged in to work (unlike our Hatch which can run for hours w/o being plugged in). It is it a little clunky to set up, but it only took me 5-7 mins. The app is garbage and you have to switch WiFi down from 5G to 2.4G, which is extraordinarily inefficient and time consuming. My biggest issue is that “tapping” the top (like the instructions say) does not turn it on and off. It took me 2 days of it randomly turning on and off by itself for me to realize that the light is triggered by vibration. Every time I shut or hit the night stand it would turn on/off. That’s when I figured it out. I just wish the instructions had been clearer. Also, the casing feels cheap. We’ll see how long it lasts. Summary: Overall, it was cheap enough to be worth it but I don’t think I’d buy it again. ... show more
