This works surprisingly well to connect your Bluetooth-enabled phone to the radio. The sound is real god, and no static seems to effect it in contrast to my carpuride monitor. I use this now to listen to music.

This bluetooth receiver is actually a nice piece of hardware. It paired easily with my Android phone right out of the box. It offers good music fidelity (considering most of us are listening to MP3 and via bluetooth to boot) and is simple to use. That's why I give this 4 stars. It works exactly as advertised. So, why did I return it? The multi-colored swirling LED light that just won't quit. The light spins around the center button the entire time the unit is on and it's very bright. There is no way to turn it off or dim it. Even in daylight the light is distracting. At night you want to flip the thing upside down or bury it under something. I considered adding some tint over the light but suspect it would peel off after a bit of use so is impractical. Users 'might' be able to mute the light by covering it with a dark permanent marker ink

This is exactly what I needed. My new to me 2018 Buick Cascada has built in Bluetooth, but it's connectivity can be really spotty. Some days it would connect to my S24+ right away, other days it would take 3-4 times before it was stable. That's really annoying because I use MacroDroid to fire scripts that turn my music app on and off based on BT connections. But once I connected this to my phone, those issues have completely disappeared. I really LOVE that this thing turns itself on and off when it detects the USB port is active. Since I didn't want to see the harness or anything plugged into my AUX jack, I relocated the jack to under the console, and installed this adapter there too (another reason why the auto on and off is so great!). I am really happy with this adapter and how it's resolved a major issue with my OE head unit!

This product did what I needed it to do, it powered via USB and plugged in with AUX, turns on when I turn my car on. But, after using it for a month, my phone won't automatically connect to it everytime, and I have to forget and reconnect to it on my phone once a week, also after I do this the audio will cut out a few times after a minute or two before going back to normal, this only happens when I have to reduce it OR if someone else syncs their phone to it. Also, whenever I try calls, the person on the other end has trouble hearing me, I can make my car quiet, put the adapter close to my mouth, and speak loudly, but nothing works, and they complain that the audio quality is unintelligible. I can switch to speaker phone on my phone and they can immediately hear me, so I doubt it's anything but the adapter causing this. I don't know if these are problems with just mine or if I should have gone for a different device like this. Seems well built and still does the job though, I also appreciate it came with a stock pad to attach it to the dash for easier song skipping and volume controls, etc.

Pros: - Auto connect is a great feature - Braided cable feels and looks high quality Cons - The buttons are LOUD, and do not feel nice to press, require a strong press and the click sound is not muffled at all (imagine clicking the lid from a vacuum sealed jar, except not satisfying) - Occasionally skips audio bits, happened a few times after setting it up - Rainbow light is useless and distracting, turned it off immediately (should have just dimly lit the buttons to see the controls instead) - No braille type markings on the buttons to make it easier to use controls without looking. - Device loudly proclaims “CONNECTED!!” when I turn on the vehicle and it, well, connects. Overall, the appeal of this device for me was the built in controls but the poor button build quality makes me not want to use them.
