  • Ubiquiti Bullets are the only AP I'll buy!
Awesome AP. Works like a charm. Use it paired with a high gain omni antenna for my home wifi to cover my entire property. YES IT'S COMPATIBLE You have to disable AirMax in the Admin Panel. Google it folks.

  • There is no way to shut off AirMax allowing it to be used with any other product.
Contrary to other reviews for this product and various documentation, per Ubiquiti's own website, there is no way to turn off AirMax on this product. In other words, there is no way to connect it to any device that does not support AirMax. Judging by the response from Ubiquiti in their support blog, they may not be that sympathetic to the unwitting buyer of this product. ... show more

  • These are Great Point to Point radios.
So I have purchased 10 of these in the past 2 years for my company. They work great as POINT to POINT wifi radios. Meaning they are not meant to be use as mesh networks like your home wifi. So all these bad reviews are people not understanding what they purchased. I could not write this using my work account unfortunately.. ... show more

  • Help for the uninformed
I have used many Ubiquiti products, but the Bullet is my favorite fallback device. I am not a Ubiquiti fan-boy, but I use the items because I can find them at good prices on Ebay, etc. I am sure that a large number of people have purchased the Bullet, not because they had familiarity with the products, but because they read about the Bullet or the Rocket or the Nano because of either a website where someone was using these devices for their RV, trailer, sailboat or even home. I have seen the negative reviews stating that the devices don't work, or their laptop won't connect to the AC, or they can't get their repeater to connect. As it as been stated before, if you are not using a AirMAX infrastructure, connecting to other Ubiquiti devices running and AirMAX and using an AirMAX controller, TURN OFF THE AirMAX using the check box, then REBOOT! At that point, configure your device and life will be groovy! If you really want to get funky, download the manual, setup VLANs and then you have a solid AP. Of course, one doesn't have to be an Access Point; One could be a client device, a repeater, or a door stopper. Regardless of what you use the device for, stop posting a 1 star rating because of the lack of knowledge of the device. ... show more
