Much better than expected. Portable speaker have come a long way. Batter was at 80 percent when I got it and have been using it about 3.5 hours only drop 10 percent. The speaker I had before is around the same price so this is a great deal. Simple one button and volume wheel. App is also simple and you can remotely turn it on and off through the app. The stand is very solid with pretty strong magnets. Handle seems pretty sturdy. Feel pretty premium. I dropped it on accident from about 3 feet and still works just fine. No scratches. Worth it. Gonna buy another later to see how good the stereo function works will update after I do 2nd picture is me holding it horizontal to the floor to show the magnet strength UPDATE: SPEAKER STARTS TO RANDOMLY DROP CUT SOUND ENTIRELY. Tried other Bluetooth speakers I have to make sure. Yeah no everything up top just ignore. Speaker is no good if on the 2nd day of use it started having connection issues. AVOID

I’m blown away with the sound and build quality of this speaker. Has a good solid weight to it but still easy for portability, I am a Speaker hound I have JBL Harmon Kardon Samsung LG Bose Beats etc in 8 different earbuds but I’m telling you I love my 1500 watt Samsung rock the neighborhood LOL, my JBL party speakers great for large outings. But this is so versatile just got it she may be my New Favorite I am in love with it I ordered 3 UB+1 they are on the way can’t lie though may have to get another one of these set them all up as an Awesome and unique Surround sound where ever I go. You got my full Attention you did your thing with these if they last as long as my JBL’s I’m going to tell everyone to run don’t walk to get these you won’t regret the purchase I’ve got 4 people lined up to purchase at work yeah I brought em here I can’t live without my music Rock The House !! I’ve tried quite a few portable speakers, and the UB+ DB1 completely exceeded my expectations. The sound is incredibly rich and clear for something that's portable —especially the bass, which really surprised me! I’ve used it for work, playing music while I cook, and even taking it outside for a quick party with friends. The battery lasts a long time, and it charges fairly quickly. I’ve dropped it a couple of times (accidentally, of course) and it still works perfectly. Definitely worth the investment!

At first what sounded like a great speaker from a cool brand, isn’t what it all panned out to be. The bass is absolutely amazing! Almost too good. At any volume past 60-70% the bass absolutely distorts the mid to high range. The songs I listen to (rap/r&b, which are bass heavy), aren’t listenable after a few seconds. You’ll hear that the highs will come back when the bass goes away for a second, but as soon as it comes back the entire track is distorted again. At low volumes, this speaker is great, which is why I’m not rating it as a 1 star, but if you plan on bringing this speaker outside or push it to any extent, plan on the audio being heavily distorted. No matter how I adjust the eq in the (very outdated) app, I can’t get the audio to stop distorting at high volumes.

I've been following this brand since they've started on Kickstarter. Of course I am hesitant on buying a new product that hasn't been out long enough to gain any reviews. After a couple years I decided to purchase the best one they had to offer. Right off the bat the presentation when unboxing was similar to most speakers in its category. Everything was organized and easy to unwrap. The speaker States it has an aluminum cabinet however it is plastic but that wasn't a huge deal. It's still extremely solid and durable with a really nice gloss to it. Powering on and functionality was pretty straightforward and connecting to the app was fairly easy. This company is still new so I don't expect everything to be perfect however the first sound test was very impressive and met my expectations. The included stand is aluminum and very sturdy yet lightweight and easy to build. Placing it throughout my house in different areas didn't really affect the sound other than of course corners bringing out more Bass. It performs well in medium sized rooms. It does get fairly loud and more than enough to even be used outside for a barbecue or camping. I really like the fact that their main focus was not all about pure sound quality over output. It was very well balanced with the option to adjust EQ settings from bass, mids, and treble. This comes in play when playing songs that are a little more bass heavy. The speaker having the EQ flat plays everything perfect even at high volumes. Boosting the bass and mids more than 25% over flat starts to show very light distortion when over 75% volume. The reason for that is this company is doing more than the average speaker in its category by allowing it to play deeper notes and more full sound. For its size it performs well but you can't expect more especially with the small cone area on the woofer. The passive radiators definitely help but can only do so much. Most speakers in its size may be able to play max volume with Max Bass however you do lose low end and you'll notice more treble being boosted. Having the EQ definitely allows for it to be used at max volume with little to no distortion by just making fine adjustments and leaving it be for any style of music. Battery life on mine has been great but I have noticed other reviews stating the battery life isn't as mentioned in the specifications. All companies have duds and being as new as they are this company may have more than others but that doesn't mean the speaker is bad. I personally would recommend taking a chance because you will be impressed and it's very unique so it's a great conversation piece. I gave the speaker four stars due to the battery situation but everything else deserves five. I have owned 400+ different Bluetooth speakers, have done reviews and this one is in my top 10 for the $200.00 price point.
