It looks great in the new wall we put up where we tore out the huge over-sized wood fireplace. It's fairly easy to install as well. The main difficulty we had was taking the glass front off (has to be done in order to pull out the styrofoam packing and to mount it). It turns out that the problem we had was caused by the metal tab inside being slightly bent, so the glass front panel wouldn't slide up properly. The instructions also aren't clear in that you need to slide the glass panel up, then out. Removing the screws (the instructions are also vague in regards to which screws to remove - it's the silver ones on the sides) and trying to lift the panel doesn't work - push it towards the top of the fireplace and then out. I ran a dedicated circuit for it, as a 1500 watt heater would draw 12.5 amps - that doesn't leave much for anything else on a 15 amp circuit. I comes with a cord wired up, but don't use it if you are mounting the fireplace recessed into the wall, no electrical code that I'm aware of allows a plug in inside a wall or other inaccessible space. It's easy to remove the cord and connect the wiring straight into the fireplace, it's just 3 sheet metal screws and 3 wire nuts. And that way it's up to code. The flames look good. Not quite real, but very nice. You can change the flame colors from orange to blue to orange and blue. I personally think a yellow flame choice would help, but that's a personal thing. We're using the fake logs in the bottom instead of the crystals - it comes with both. I saw a few reviews where people used both, and maybe we'll try that later, but the logs look fine. You can also change the intensity/brightness of the flames. The remote is nice, and you can also do everything from the front panel. Turn heat off/on, adjust timer, temp, flame brightness, color, etc. I'm not a fan of the "beep" it gives every time you adjust anything, but meh, it only beeps once. Not a big deal. The measurements in the description are accurate, as I framed the rough opening to those measurements, and it fit fine - just a "tad" to big, but that gave me room to adjust to make sure it was leveled and centered. Overall this is a great electric fireplace. Cheaper than others I've seen, and it can be recessed into the wall (what I wanted) for a nice clean look. The heat comes out the front at the top, and it has two settings. Bottom line is that you can spend a LOT more for another flush mount electric fireplace, but I wouldn't. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love this fireplace!!! It looks nice and sleek. Comes with a remote but you can also control everything from a panel on the front of the fireplace. After a few seconds the panel goes dark so it looks more realistic. When I looked at this I thought I could switch between logs and crystals and different colors. But you actually have to choose one or the other. You have to unscrew the front glass panel and either put in the logs or the crystals. I chose logs for now. It does have several color options that my kids love. I mostly use the realistic looking flame. The heat works great too. Haven’t used that too much but will in the winter. It is nice and quiet. Installation was easy. We just slid it into the fireplace box, plugged it in and it’s ready to go. Has a timer which is nice so I can just forget about it and not waste electricity. I am glad I got this. At first I was skeptical, I was worried it would look fake like other models. But I don’t regret buying this. LOVE IT!! ... show more

I have a unit I purchased and was very impressed with it. I decided to install a second unit and knowing what needed to be done to prep for installation, I had everything ready when the shipment arrived. I expected in 30 minutes I would be operational. Not exactly - apparently the blower is not operational. The insult to injury is there is no customer service number with the shipment. I expect I will have to remove the unit, repackage and return it. I have sent an email through Amazon, so now I wait until I hear from someone on the issue. It is now a week later and I have been going round and round with the seller. They requested a video of the problem which I forwarded to them. They were not able to download the video. They furnished an approval to return but wanted me to pay for the shipping. The saga continues and I still have a faulty unit that has been packaged to return that is setting in my garage. I know Amazon is swamped and I appreciate the job they are doing in getting packages to all of us BUT I find it difficult to comprehend why an organization would shutdown their "Customer Service" phone system AND Chat system. I'm so happy with the colors and heat output, its working wonders in my small cabin. But the reason I'm submitting my first review is because I didn't get to install this until a year after purchase, when I discovered the heat wouldn't work more than 5 minutes and then shut off for a day. I decided to try sending the manufacturer a note explaining I just installed it and if anything could be done. They asked for a video which I sent, and then responded with "we'll send you a new unit, don't worry about shipping that one back, and BTW its our latest model with way more colors, so let us know what you think" Awesome.     • Good product but the blinking control panel!

I like this fireplace. to solve the blinking light problem everyone is talking about on the control panel buttons I simply took the glass off and put electrical tape on the back side of the glass. This made it where I cannot see the flashing anymore. I did leave the temperature indicator window visible which still flashes every 5 minutes but it is not annoying like seeing all of the rest of the buttons flash. It was so bright it would actually wake me up at night! I hope this helps others solve this one small problem. ... show more
